If only I knew about the Mixer-Brush tool and its capabilities much earlier. These techniques are very powerful.
Good video. I've used this brush a bit but this clarified things I had just been using trial and error on.
Best mixer brush tutorial ever! Thanks!!
Nice work 👌.
Too bad about the narration. And the music.
Hello is any discount on your course I buy only one
who else think this guy should have more views
Thanks Full support!!!!!! Great....liked every video
I’m late to the game but am loving what can be done with the mixer brush. I normally use it for skin retouching as I’m a photographer. I have noticed that not every brush style can be used with the mixer function. Is this common or is there a something I need to select to have this work.
beautiful, from where I can download the brushes ?
clean cute video, To the point No bullshit, I REALLY APPRECIATE AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS WITH US.
I didnt think I could find the shortcut I needed. BUT I DID! Thanks to you. Bless you
Like #410! Beautiful share! Nice video!
👍👍👍
Wow!! You have awesome skills and knowledge, would love to see this done slowed down and with you teaching us, thank you for sharing your skills 👌
I can paint "concept art" now ! hahahaha
Thank-you. ' Most informative.
I know this video is a year old, but I just got your lessons and for some reason my brush shape doesn't look like yours do, even when using your settings, as you show them. They're way more seperated and there paints so the paint is put down in strings, rather than how it looks in your videos. Any thoughts on what may be causing this? Using the newest CC version.
This tutorial was helpful. Thank you
Very useful tutorial .. Thanks for teaching Sir... For digital painting we can use your method .. Again Thanking you Sir ....
Thank you, great tutorial!
Scott Deardorff, Thank you for this and your other tutorials. My background is in painting and illustration using watercolours and acrylics. Today I work in video which involves digital technology. Your techniques - shared in an agreeably measured, un-rushed manner - have helped me rethink the use of Photoshop as an essential tool to video image making. P
Thank you for your comment, Peter.
One of the most useful tutorials I have watched. Thank you! this can really change my workflow!
Thanks! I appreciate your comment.
Love your work!
Thanks, Teddi! And thanks for your purchase!
Wow, this is probably one of the best explanations of the mixer brush I've seen. A lot of people don't know about it, or try to hard to explain it.
Thanks - glad you found it useful.
very good tutorial. thank you so much.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome
Thank you, Emma!
superb
Thanks, Emma!
@@ScottDeardorff Is this an action effect or are you showing how to realistically paint a bird with out maniuplation of original folder? :) Been really wanting you to do a long tutorial on this! :) Its very popular! Like how traditional artist do it they take you step by step how they paint their realistic animal in oil! :)
Thank you, great tutorial!
Superb! Very clear and understandable. I've added this to a playlist as I'm sure I'll want to review it several times as I try to master the mixer brush.
Thanks - glad you've found this useful!
Scott, Thx for posting this great video as it helped me understand the process behind cloning layers. I had a question about ppi when printing. Sometimes I used pictures that are very small to paint over and I was wondering how I should set the image size and ppi to ensure that a nice picture prints out at various sizes (from regular paper - 8.5 x 11, all the way up to (and in between) a poster size of 24 x 36? Or, does setting the ppi of an image to 240 mean that it will print a nice picture at any size I choose? Thx
in general, we always use 300 ppi for printing
can you tell me what brush you used??
This is a portion of a chapter from Lesson Three in my "Mastering the Digital Canvas" series - "Painting Portraits with the Mixer Brush." The brushes used in this demonstration are the custom blending brushes and opaque painting brushes that are included with this Lesson.
Thank you, Gilda!
please upload more video tutorials
Thank you for such a thorough but easy-to-understand demonstration of the mixer brush.
Thanks for the comment, Kenny - Lesson Three in my MTDC series is currently available at my website.
I loved the first two lessons in your series. I am looking forward to lesson three. Thanks.
Great!!!
Irrespective of whether he can paint or not, this technique is absolutely superb. The skill set required to achieve this level is beyond most who have commented. Fantastic work!
painting doesn't mean smudging it out and calling it a painting
I am curious if he knows how to really paint?
Totally amazing! How I wish I could do something like this. Excellent!
A-MAZING! :-)
Great stuf Scott!! Odwin
