i30/Elantra N-Line XForce Cat-Back Exhaust with Resonator
Hi All
I installed the Xforce cat-back exhaust system on our N-Line (stock downpipe, resonated mid-pipe and valved rear muffler).
Here’s a brief cold start comparison and after-revs for anyone looking to do the same.
IMO it sounds pretty nice. Compared to our N, the sound is unique given the different engine displacement, stock tuning, etc
Here are some of my thoughts on the system after 7 months:
- The tone and growl are unique and a bit deeper than the N but can be toned down with the values closed.
- Pops and bangs are night and day to the stock exhaust. I wouldn’t compare them to the N though because on standstill, they happen much lower in the rev range (because of tuning differences between the cars)
- The RPM limiter sound at 3.5-4k on standstill is louder than the Ns Pops and Bangs at 4.5k
- Highway and normal driving has no drone with valves closed, and a slight deep exhaust sound with valves open - not intrusive at all.
- Upshift DCT farts are nice and loud - comparable to the Ns
- Downshift pops and bangs are only subtle since that’s only what the car is tuned to do stock.
Overall I would recommend it for any enthusiast looking for a lot more sound out of the car. I also suggest waiting for some major sales, the RRP of $1.7k AUD is pricey!!
P.S. Only recorded on an iPhone but with headphones, it sounds pretty true to real life just obviously not as loud. I’ll post more videos of comparisons with the N a bit later.

W205 Mercedes Benz C250 Full Armytrix Valvetronic Exhaust
Переглядів 80 тис.5 років тому
Installing an Armytrix Valvetronic exhaust on my W205 Mercedes Benz C250 Mods: Armytrix Catless Downpipe and Valvetronic Exhuast Installation by Unleashed Performance, thanks to Daniel and Lucas! Unleashed Performance: Dantechperformance@gmail.com 0448126252
are the pops and bangs stock? and do you reckon its worth tuning to increase the pops n bangs?
Hey, yes these pops and bangs are completely stock. I didn’t want to tune it since this is our daily run around car, but I know a lot of people that have tuned there’s so definitely possible 😊
how much did you get it for?
Should be at the start of the video $1444 Aud
@@HarpreetSingh-wu4vt might have to wait for a sale... how much was installation? and when you refer to (stock downpipe, resonated mid-pipe and valved rear muffler), are these components in the xfore catback exhaust system or other mods you did?
Is it premium or performance?
It’s a N-Line Premium
Will this pass emissions?
I didn’t touch the catalytic converter so it should, but if you do then probably won’t pass.
Question for ya: Where did you feed the cable through the car to control the exhaust valves?
I routed them up through the boot (there’s a rubber grommet next to the spare tyre that you can slice and push the cable through and seal with some silicon) Once in the boot, I picked the end location for the control unit - this was driver side footwell for me. Then ran the cable along the right side of the car under all the trim pieces, placed the controller in the driver footwell (make sure you secure it properly) neatly ran the power cable to the cigarette lighter. It’s all quite easy, completely invisible and reversible
@HarpreetSingh-wu4vt Awesome thanks! I'm going to be purchasing the exact same exhaust next month and planning ahead of time. Any issues when installing like leaks or bent parts?
@@WishesForGlitches1 Nice! Yeah it sounds great, I would suggest testing the valve before installing it just so you get familiar with how this valve works if you haven’t used it before. It’s not like ones I’ve had in the past where it’s just open or close, this one is variable, so when you hold the button to open or close it takes a few seconds to fully open or close. No issues with removal of old or install of new. Just wd-40 all old nuts/bolts and hangers and it’ll be easy.
@HarpreetSingh-wu4vt preciate all the helpful words my friend. I think I should be good for the install in about a month, I appreciate it a ton! Also thanks for switching the vid from made for kids to not, really wanted to comment for a while now 😅
@@WishesForGlitches1 not a problem at all 😄
Can you change your other video from "made for kids" to "not made for kids" because with it on, nobody can comment on the video and I can't save the video for later either. Would appreciate you updating that as I have a few questions for you.
Great sound but is this car Diesel or petrol?
Diesel
What’s the drone like when the valves are closed? I’m worried they’ll be heavy drone on highways even if it’s closed
Is it worth to delete a cat? Because i have armytrix on my c200 but with cat
Vaccum source wali hose kedi aa
Look at this video ua-cam.com/video/eCbZuGhdMGs/v-deo.html at 26 secs, where he is working there is a vaccum hose you tap off there
Paji esda vaccum source kitho tap kita si tusi
Hi mate. May I know what is the diameter of the exhaust?
I think it was 3inches
Hlo, how much does it cost? Tell me please, thanks
Was there any issues of how the car was smelling after the installation of the downpipe
How cost
Is your transmission still Ok? Mine has started to play up a little, I am getting this shift jerk when accelerating and its quite annoying and scary...cars has only 75k
Hey, I haven’t had any issues with the transmission. I’ve done 120k on my car, I get a small jerk when I shift at redline, but it seems more just like an aggressive shift than anything else and only happens at redline.
@@HarpreetSingh-wu4vt mine has 75K amd it jerks randomly, thanks for your replies.
Hi Harpreet. Can I ask you a question? Did you do the install yourself with a friend? Or did you get it done professionally? The whole install cost you 3K?
Hi Mario, I installed it with the help of some friends because they had a shop and a lift, which made it really easy. It was a fairly easy install though, can definitely be done at home with some jack stands.
Have the same car! Anyway, would love to hear the flyby sound or the car passed by sound because i consider the Armytrix for my benzies 😅
Is this also possible on a c200 ?
AmpzNL yep can be done on any car, check out there website.
At least there is no fake C63 badges 😂
MercedesLife hahaha yeah nah, I’m not about that life!
Great sound. I will order the same for my car but one question what about check engine light, is there any issue
Hey Saad K, I didn’t have any issues with the check engine light, everything worked very smoothly.
Hi Harpreet Singh, very nice to hear that but for how long now you been driving with the system and I need your advice as I am in process to order similar system from ARMYTRIX
Also I would like to ask you if there is any noticeable drone inside the car
Hey Saad K, Not a problem. I have been driving the car with the Exhaust since Nov 2018, done more than 50,000 kms of highway driving with no issues. There is definitely drone when the valves are open; when it is closed you can still hear it a little, but if you play some music on low volume you will be able to mask the noise easily.
Hey Harpreet Singh very interesting, that’s main you recommend to proceed with armytrix from your experience or not. Last question, as I understood from you that you never done anything for O2 sensor like installing spacer to avoid check engine light because so many people will have it if they install high flow down pipe and what armytrix app will do on this issue if pops up
Is this in Australia?
Enoch Hema Yep in Sydney
Sounds great👌🏻 can you tell me how much did it cost for new exhaust?
Thats awesome . How much you spend on this ? I have the same benzo
Supreet Sekhon thanks bro! It cost about 3k USD but well worth it!
The gtsr in the background 😍
I have the same car, price of the Armytrix exhaust?
Alek it cost $2980 USD for just the exhaust, I bought it directly from Armytrix.
Harpreet Singh Interesting, thank you very much!
Nice I just bought the same car and will do the same, how much did everything cost you? Are you in Canada or the USA?
Nahshon Immanuel Hey thats sounds awesome! You’ll love it. I’m in Australia so I’m not sure how much it’ll cost you guys for the exhaust, I’m sure it’ll be cheaper than here though. I bought mine directly from Armytrix so maybe email them or check out vividracing
Nahshon Immanuel it cost me $2980 USD though
Harpreet Singh Glad to know you are satisfied with your car Price sounds worth it for the outcome.
hey man 4 years old comment but worth a shot to ask...im from australia too and want the same for my c350e. do you just buy from armytrix then call a place that installs it for you ?@@HarpreetSingh-wu4vt
Singh ni manda
Pav Singh Hahahaha aho fe!
Any pops and crackles ??
A few during downshifts, but very loud pops on upshifts in Sport+
Is this with a stock engine?
Damn i wanna race this guy
Nice! What is the extra at wheel hp gain from this exhaust + tune?
