How come you don't tell how or demonstrate how to turn the light on? Do you use a pencil when you set the trap out at night to push down on the light?

I've not done this yet but I have seen bottles with a black reinforcement that look just like your black tape. Such a bottle could be cut short just to hold the light source. Then the second clear bottle can sit on that. The advantage will be that the bugs are not landing on the light and that top bottle can be more easily emptied.

These creepers have destroyed all my green beans in my garden & killing off all my tomato plants too. Even the tomato worms started very early this year! Not a good year for a garden. Thanks for the video.

Great idea have you thought about just setting the light under the plastic and surrounding it with black tape so it's not inside the jar. Would that work?

What most don't realize is that if you have house plants, stink bugs will pierce plant stems, leaves, flower buds and flowers and suck sap from them. This will eventually kill the flower buds causing them to wither and also the plants to die. I have experienced this with orchids, bonsai trees, as well as other house plants..

I found an ecen better trap, put a potato in a bowl....they all come for it, then spray it n throw it away......then use Harris , its safe on lawns too....ive finally gotten rid of them....im relieved i sprayed harris for stink bugs outside perimeter and inside somewhat. Then sprayed my lawn.....we havrnt seen any so far near the house, seen 2 near neighbors home.... I thank harris!

In order to make quick work of stink bugs in my garden, I use a hand-held cordless vacuum cleaner.

To dispose of the live bugs of any type, Use an old jar with a lid and fill it halfway with water and add some Dawn dish detergent. The best is to make the water blue with the detergent. Place the bugs in the jar and close they will die quickly and you can pour them out in your yard. The detergent will not harm anything.
