I'm just gonna ignore the fact that max got his power 16, I expected deku to get his powers later because max is a hybrid of human and a takion (not sure if this is spelled right) and had a kid with another human so I expected the power to get weakened.

And before that the skill was called predator (it was gained by rimuru just because he was reincarnated as a slime and his thoughts while dieing) which is weaker than gluttony but was still comparable to gluttony in terms of consuming stuff in every way aside from range.
