Essentially, they had to nerf Soundwave, whose trait was that he was so damn good at combat despite being the silent one, he didn’t even need to lift a finger sometimes to fight. And this dude specialised in just conjuring ground bridges EFFORTLESSLY, just for it to be completely forgotten in RID15. He’s simply nerfed for this inferior version of BumbleBee and his team to defeat the dude (that by right, is actually able to fight off an entire team of combat-ready Autobots while incapacitated and also abduct one of their members while at it). If they can nerf Megatronus, The Fallen Prime, who isn’t suppose to be a noob with a breakable staff, they will certainly nerf our beloved Prime Soundwave. Also it clearly showed that they can use Prime models and translate it to the art style in RID15. So why didn’t they do that so that it does tie in with that it’s after the events of Prime. I actually also don’t like that they brought back Optimus, who literally sacrificed himself to reactivate Well of Allsparks. He wasn’t suppose to be back. The dude seems to have been only brought back, so that we can hate Bumblebee for being an angsty teen thinking that Optimus keeps stealing his spotlight.

Sadly, they broke his vow way more often than only this one time - taken into account that the Cybertron Games (including RotDS) are part of the Aligned/Prime continuity, too, ... where he's talking almost as much as in G1 ... - either such a vow of silence means absolutely NOTHING to HASBRO's plot weiters ... or joining Megatron & helping the Decepticons to rise up, ending the fraggin' caste system once and for all times, was "enough" of effective deeds 'n' actions for Soundwave, himself, to regard his vow as fulfilled, already, ... which would mean, he'd be keeping up his "trademark" silence, 99% of the time with exception of his one iconic line during captivity, in TFP, just for ... fun? 🙂 ... being already too used to it and simply fed up with verbal communication, in general?? 🔇 ... enjoying the silence???
