NIGHTLINE - Bones of the Ocean [OFFICIAL AUDIO]
Alright, so, for a minute there, I was gone on these bands. Just drenched in this dreamy-pop stuff. Big, echoey guitars, drums that hit like a heartbeat in a warehouse, leads that just… float away, and vocals like ghosts whispering secrets in your ear. Man, I was hooked.
And it got me thinking, like, maybe I could try and chase that sound a little. Thing is, it ain’t got the same rock n’ roll grit as Night Fires. It’s a different kinda engine, y’know? So, it felt wrong to cram it under that name. Didn’t feel right. So, for now, I’m calling these little extra-curriculars… Nightline.
This particular song? Man… I was chasing something you might hear if you were standing outside the Road House in Twin Peaks on a rainy Tuesday. Just… that kinda vibe.
I put this thing together using Logic Pro. No extras. Just the 'bones of the ocean'. Man, I doubt it entirely, but if you'd like any quick pointers at circling that sound, drop me a line. I'm happy to help.
