In my experience, I know the ump is right as he called this IMMEDIATELY.
Good job
I am commenting #BringBackDislikes on every unique UA-cam video I watch for the rest of 2024, regardless of if I actually dislike the video or not. This is video 3270.
I've never really understood the rules in this situation. Sometimes someone will touch home plate before the 3rd out occurs, and the run doesn't count, but other times it does? Like if someone touches home before someone catches a fly ball for the 3rd out. Or if someone is running home and touches home plate before the throw makes it to first base for the 3rd out, it doesn't count. At least that's what I remember. Is it different in softball or was the time difference between touching home plate and the 3rd out big enough that it counts?
Nevermind, I asked chatgpt ;). A force out and a fly out, if someone touches home plate, it doesn't matter. If it's a tag out, any run that touches home plate before the tag counts.
This is why women have ZERO power in their swings. Watch a softball hitting tutorial they ALL tell you to lift your back foot, which couldn't be more wrong. This is a result of that.
PU needs to have mask in left hand
The first base umpire needs to be at home waiting on this play...looks like he almost forgot he had home plate responsibilities.
Oh my!!! Way to stay with it by the RF! Spin and throw….the out of the game in a 1-0 win. Congrats.
Great catch! 🥎
By far my favorite show I’ve ever marched
Not very good bunting fundamentals if bunting for a base hit. She should be crossing her front foot with her back foot while bringing the bat forward with the step. I’ll throw in an extra if she was slapping ,when the back foot comes forward she should keep her hands back . I just took a Quick Look with her technique before my initial comment. Now after looking at the video again & the overall situation (without knowing how many outs), with a runner on second it was a perfect sacrifice making the 3rd baseman field the ball , even though she beat it out for a hit.
I can see both sides here. On the transfer is obviously the call and it is umpire discretion.
It’s a judgement call as to whether the batter was still in the box. If the ball hit her, or her bat, after either foot is out of the box and touching the ground, she is out. The umpire has a tough angle on this and must be decisive, as he was. It’s hard to tell from the camera angle exactly what happened, so I give kudos to that blue.

hi there
Hi Robert Paniagua, is it ok if I use this clip "19th at Lawrence Accident " on my channel? with credit (name on screen). Can you explain what happened ?update?
It's for this channel only. Sorry.
thanks for answering@@etcvideopro
Looked to me at full speed that the batter missed first base. Even at slow speed, hard to tell if she actually stepped on the bag. Even if the call was wrong, meh. Humans are humans. Give ‘em a break.
No interference, runner is safe.
Great call and what is the base umpire doing?? Looks like his mind is in another place and another time. Can tell he is not a regular umpire! I've seen this soooo many times in travel ball. Plate umpire will be a veteran and the base umpire can be someone off the street with a uniform. I'll stick to high school ball thank you very much!!!
I watch these videos and am learning a lot. I played Football, Basketball and ran Track in High School so I don’t even know all the rules of baseball.
Why the edit?
Very fine line here! Under the exception to NFHS 7-4-13, the batter is NOT out IF the bat is still in her hands (hands plural) at the time of the second contact unless the umpire determined the act to be intentional. Was the bat still in the batter's hands? Could the umpire see it and determine it in real time? Did he think it looked intentional? Was the umpire even aware of the exception to the rule? Who knows!
Perhaps this umpire should video the games and every time the child of the parent who made and posted this video makes a mistake that too should be posted to the internet. Some parents are way bigger children than anyone participating in these sporting events.
Was the call on the field safe or out? I think the guy yelling was a fan and the call was out at 1st because it looks like the 3rd base coach comes out to argue the call.
Stepping on the plate isn’t an automatic out. If your foot is still on the box line you’re good 👍
Is this a joke question
Clearly, no catch
If the batter hits the ball while her foot is in the air and then her foot comes down on the plate then it is legal.
I can’t see the whole story since you edit the video????
Mistakes happen.
No catch. It bounced off the fence.
no catch
Sorry, but as a former serious player and long-time coach... parents focusing on umpire calls in meaningless (yes, meaningless) youth games is pathetic and teaches the wrong lessons to players.
It’s really hard to make that call. An umpire is watching the pitch, not the feet. And her foot needs to be completely out of the box and on the ground at the time of contact. Contact with the plate is not necessarily an out (it is possible to make contact with the plate and still have part of your foot within the batter’s box), at least under little league rules.
This is interference, not obstruction. Obstruction occurs when the defense inhibits in some manner the travel or progress of the batter/runner.
Hell of an umpire right there. Good job blue!
The field umpire called it, too. Both umpires were “on the ball”.
