This bus was originally assigned to Coach USA ONE Bus until the CUSA Routes 24, 31 & 44 were discontinued. It was then reassigned to Meadowlands garage which began NJT service on May 22, 2024. It was then transferred to Kearny Point garage which then was transferred to Big Tree Garage in the same month. Kearny Point transferred 6511 to Big Tree in exchange for 20852 from Big Tree.

In this episode, Route 1 of NJT gets stuck in the Newark traffic jam because of too much cars in double parking and blocking the road. Route 1’s job is to get to Ferry Street Merchant Street to pick up passengers without being delayed.
