Hi, distention of the subscapularis recess is intra-articular and could be from rotator cuff tear/Glenohumeral ligament tear or some intraarticular process. Thanks

I had swollen bursitis and was treated a few times with steroids. I now have a hard knot/lump/disc on my elbow. I can move it around the tip of my elbow freely. It doesn't cause me pain or any issues. It just bothers me because of its large projected appearance. What is it? What caused it? Can it be treated without surgery? Thanks

So did the distal suprapsinatus tendon tear or the intrasubstamce subscapularis tear result in the distension of the subscapularis recess? And would sghl or mghl tears also result in distension of subscapularis recess since thats where the recess is?

Hi, completely torn my Rectus femoris in half about four years ago i never did any surgery. I continue to exercise on it and the bulge that was there got bigger. I wondering can the muscle grow funny if u continue to exercise on a raptured rectus femoris ?

Had mri. I have a 10cm tear of the rectus femoris, which corresponds to the length of the lump on my thigh. Fluid present as well. Radiologist has recommended I have a knee mri as well. Mri report sent to orthopaedic dept. I am functioning without too much pain, but mustn't kneel down as the strain is felt. I hope the orthos will have experience of this and a plan to unfurl the muscle. At coming up to six months, am not sure they can reconnect, but I live in hope. I've always been an active person, and am 67.

Had ultrasound one week ago, got an mri in two days. This injury happened five months ago. Hopefully the muscle can be unretracted to ease lump and discomfort. The ultrasound nurse had never seen this before, so quite rare. Thanks for your swift and kind reply.

Hi sorry to hear that. I am not an orthopedic surgeon so hard to say. Probably recommend seeing an orthopedic surgeon regarding that. My feeling, however, is if the muscle is not reattached that lump will probably persist. Take care.

I have the same lump due torn muscle that has retracted under itself. Can the torn muscle be released from under itself to alleviate the lump and discomfort?

Does it remain a little swollen after healing? It happened to me and the doctor made a puncture for her for a period of time until the secretion stopped, but she is still a little swollen. She had x-rays done to make sure there is nothing inside her. Is this a cause for concern?

Hi, she wasn’t overly symptomatic and symptoms were recently brought on, so she deferred any Injections, etc.. I think I may have prescribed therapy. Thanks.

Nice video. At my clinic, we are having a lot of success by doing the fenestration with injection of bone marrow and stromovascular fraction stem cells. It boosts the cost and complexity of the procedure but for a patient, particularly an athlete it is worth it.
