Hi, thank you for your kind words. If interested in hands-on training, feel free to visit probeultrasound.com to sign up for our upcoming conference in February. All the best!
Would've loved to have been able to see a post Barbotage x-ray to see how much of the calcification was removed. Great video regardless. Heard about this procedure as a radiography student today, where the radiologist performing the procedure hadn't done it before lol. Super weird and not at all what I thought would have been done to 'treat' calcifications.
Hi, thank you for reaching out. This was done a while ago, but looks like it was done distal to the inguinal ligament more towards the thigh. Thank you.
Thank you great video showing how the femoral nerve branches are positioned in the leg. Is the shot given proximal to the inguinal ligament and closer to the spine, or distal to the inguinal ligament and closer to the thigh?
so the long head is musculotendinous at the posterior axillary fold crease and that's what gives it the natural "bulbous shape" with the tendon inside the muscle 1:29? i always thought that up to the posterior axillary fold crease the triceps long head, teres, and lat were all tendon and then beyond this point when you follow along their respective muscle paths they become musculotendinous. But this perspective kind of shows the triceps long head tendon is pretty short and muscle alreadty appears and even moreso with the teres major because it seems to be purely muscle at that point? is there any estimate on the length of the triceps long head tendon? And would you say its just the lat and triceps long head that are still mostly tendinous when you reach the posterior axillary fold crease with minimal muscle bulk while teres major is just all muscle?
any idea of the superior and inferior border tendon attachment of the gluteus maximus to the IT band like what level are those spanning? is the superior border of that IT band attachment at the level of the tip of the greater trochanter or at the iliac crest and how about the inferior border going all the way to the gluteal tuberosity of femur?
Thank you Colleague , very instructive
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed
Your videos are special doc thanks!
Glad you like them!
Hi, sorry about that. The video had an issue with playback and was actually a little bit fast. I tried to slow it down myself. All the best.

Hi, sorry to hear that with your procedure. Not sure if it will be so easy to see scarring of the biceps tendon within the groove on ultrasound but functionally with elbow flexion you can see if the tendon is fixed to the shaft or not. Maybe that would be the way to approach it. All the best Scott Weiss
Injecting sclerosant after aspiration can help to avoid recurrence.
My long head biceps was cut due to a Biceps SLAP and then it was fastened with 2 wires next to supraspinatus but after 2 weeks the wires could not hold the tendon so I was told it's within the bicipital groove and is stuck there and can heal there and be strong. Can you see with ultrasound if the tendon is inside the bicipital groove and if its healing there ?
if i have this on my hip and do nothing could the fluid move to my abdomen? could it go away without operations?
Thank you again for the kind words! Scott

Excellent job
I had the worst pain after the lidocaine wore off!! 😢 It hurt more than the pain that brought me to the orthopedic doctor. I hope I'll have relief in 3 days from the steroid.
How long did it work?
@GoodByeSkyHarborLive No pain two months after the injection.
Hi, thank you for reaching out. I haven’t used prolotherapy for this although something I may consider in the future. All the best Scott
Hi, whats your experience with median nerve HD with 5% dex vs steroid? Thanks
excellent

is the Musculotendinous junction of subscapularis 50 percent tendon and 50 percent muscle and where does it begin like at the level of lateral coracoid, gh joint line?? Would you also say the distal insertional :pure tendon" body length ends at the glenoid rim level medially and then begins the muscle fiber/tendon interdigiditation? And is that view at 1:04 showing the subscapularis tendon length from lesser tuberosity to the proximal musculotendinous junction medially, but where does the MTJ begin medially like what landmark? at 1:25 for the superior to inferior view, i would have expected it to be pure subscapularis tendon but it looks like its mostly muscle with tendon in between even though you are very distal and close to humeral insertion.
Hi, thank you for watching! Interesting question..hard to say exactly how much is tendon/muscle of the subscapularis as it goes distally but that tendon in particular seems to have more muscle distally in the tendon as compared to the other cuff tendons..If you’re interested in live conferences and to learn more about musculoskeletal ultrasound please visit probeultrasound.com. We have a conference this coming November 10th/11th at the Hyatt Place in Garden City, New York…up to 16 CME credits. Thank you! Scott
Hi, usually don’t check for hyperemia. Just use the ultrasound to look for signs of tear, etc. Otherwise thank you for watching! If you’re interested in live conferences and to learn more about musculoskeletal ultrasound please visit probeultrasound.com. Thank you! Scott
Great video. Do you like using the Doppler to assess for hyperemia? I’ve used that as a variable to also associate with hamstring injuries on US in the acute phase

I have a pain in my calf muscle and my ultrasound report is (There is fluid deep to the medial gastrocnemius with a tear in the deep muscle also seen as a disruption in the contour and echogenicity of the muscle fiber.) Can it be completely cured with medicine or not?
Hi, I don’t give medical advice over the Internet be happy to schedule a private phone consult. Thank you.

What specialist is the best to see for a morel lavellee lesion on the knee? My orthopedic was useless and couldn’t offer a solution
Hi in Orthopedist should be fine. You can try aspirating..but you may have to go through several rounds of aspiration with compression afterwards. Hope that helps. Take care. Scott
