1 Year 1 World Minecraft - September: 1.14 - 1.15
I'm spending a whole year in 1 Minecraft World, which is slowly updating every month.
This month I played 1.14 and 1.15, the "Village and Pillage" and "Buzzy Bees" updates respectively.
This month I upgraded my nether highway and also made an awesome town full of all the different villagers.
Sorry it took so long to get out.

Starting at 1.0 in January, we are now playing 1.9 in June. 1.9: "The Combat Update" - Added the Elytra, a new combat system, and revamped the end with an improved dragon fight and the outer end cities. I’ve spent 4 years on the same world on the same version, instead of starting a new world, I throw everything in a chest, use a command to teleport far away, then start again, so far I have 3 “towns “? Somewhere ready to explore and refind again

Hey! Love your videos. Quick question: I've been thinking about playing Minecraft again but I don't know which version I want to play. I really like the simplicity of beta 1.7.3 but release 1.6 is also very nostalgic for me too. Since you play a lot of MC versions, what version have you enjoyed the most? Should I try playing beta/early release for the simplicity or just stick to vanilla?
@@grahamcrackers5645 my favorite was around the 1.2-1.5 era. Simple still, a little less buggy than older versions, more stuff to do without horses and the new terrain yet.

When I play old versions of Minecraft they are always corrupted, how did you fix that?
@@voedselbaksteenYT which versions? There was a fix I had to do on some from like 1.1-1.5 ish where you have to go into the language settings file and change the language from eng_US to eng_us or something like that.

I think the real answer is modern and beta are completely different games for a completely different audience. Beta was a simple "survival fantasy sandbox" where it really was just a sandbox with a basic survival twist (once you got the diamond tools and go to the nether there were no more milestones). The blocky style really played into the whole "fantasy" aspect too, which I think BTA really captures with its dungeons, auroras, and biome types. The whole playstyle + workflow is completely different to modern. There are no achievements, no automation, no trading, which in modern Minecraft provides a more goal-oriented playstyle. Without any of those goals, or for that matter anything specific that you "should" or "could" do, you really are on your own to just... build. Also, I've noticed a shift in the player base too, and a lot of the people who play Minecraft now probably would have never given it a shot in beta, and vis versa (a lot of people have stopped playing). Perhaps why this question is so polarizing.
