Fresh Air experiment, comfort of home sofa and Netflix or good old northern fresh air? Hmm you decide :-)

Join me on a trip to Loch Ken in Scotland as I film the 2018 Wild Swim which is taking place in aid of the children's charity Barnardos. This is an annual event which includes a 1km, 2km and 4km event.

Luckily I'm at my daughters and her partners house for a few days and I can't drive for a while, but hey, it could be much worse

After arriving at a camp site in the dark, the next day I take myself off for a walk to explore the immediate surroundings... not quite what I was expecting....! [DISCLAIMER: The camping site is currently undergoing huge spending improvements and the owners were very helpful and friendly - this is just a tongue-in-cheek personal view of my recent visit] :-)

This is a tour of my van. It's a 58 registration Renault Master LWB 2.5TD High Top panel van with a full conversion. The conversion was carried out long before I bought it, as it had been used previously as hire stock by a leisure vehicle hire company in Newcastle upon Tyne, but luckily its a Diesel engine with only 43,000 miles on the clock when I bought it - so fairly low mileage and well mai...

I intended to take myself off for a photographic trip around the shores of a beautiful reservoir in North Yorkshire - unfortunately i didn't get down to the waters edge and it turned out to be more of a morning walk and chanter on about something and nothing. This vlog is a few months old now when i still had 'Eric the Campervan'. Apologies for the snotty drippy nose at the end :-)
