I have a 2.0T and it really depends on what kind of car you want. The newer Fl5 isn’t as raw as the older Hondas but the 2.0t with a manual transmission seems like a really enjoyable car to drive. The accord is more of a nice touring cruiser car that is quick. However, with the suspension and engine in the FL5 it is a whole different experience

I’m working on modifying my k24a1 for a K24A1 and Z3 6spd, which is similar to yours. Not sure which harness you bought, you’re gonna have to use a multimeter, set it to ohm or continuity, to trace and identify the pin layout and position is correct. Basically ktuned conversion kit does NOT require you to convert VSS 12v to CSS 5v, but will require you to swap the pin location at the sensor connector from VSS to CSS. If your connector pin out is like VSS- you can follow their updated pdf instructions to modify the connector, swap pin location, and extend wires. If you don’t want to, you can try one of those eBay VSS to CSS conversion plug and play harness. The converter requires you to hook up a power, ground, input from the sensor to the converter, and then the converter will spit out the modified signal to both the pcm and the cluster at the FORK/Splice in the harness. Power and ground will be tapped from the PCM connector. Trace the 2 wires from 2 connectors at the pcm side, up to the splice, then go past it till it’s just a single wire, give yourself some extra length of wire and cut that wire. That will be your input and output for the converter. Other notes: double check your pin out location for your crank sensor pin (k24 vs k20 is different), and TPS pin (k24a1/k20a3 vs everything else is different). Even if the wires are all black, you can mostly trust that their pinouts are more closely resemble that of 02-04 K20 which is universal swap pinout. Doesn’t matter if it’s all black, it’s pretty much the standard, so it’s good to have the wiring diagram or pin out diagram and test them. Dakota digital has a new one that has multiple outs, phone app support via Bluetooth SGI-100BT. I am seriously thinking about using that since I need multiple out puts to (PCM, speedo, EPS, and maybe reverse lockout in the future).

@ramb0r0kr888 I bought a KTuned vss converter but haven't installed it yet. From what I've read, it's not just the 12v and 5v signals, it's also that the 02-04 is looking for a low frequency signal from a gear type sensor. This transmission uses a high-frequency hall effects sensor.

@@bobbydelamar606you’re thinking too much. Voltage is not a problem, I clarified that with ktuned. It’s not a VSS or CSS, or mechanical or Hall effect problem. All it is- CSS produces more pulse and ktuned converter cuts it down to whatever you desire. It’s my fault I didn’t pay attention and forgot you have a CRX. Did you do a cluster conversion? Still running speedo cable or VSS? Or have a C101 to CRX adapter harness?

@@ramb0r0kr888 I haven't messed with my cluster yet. It's still cable driven and doesn't work. I just need Hondata to see my speed for now then later I'll figure out what I want to do with my speedometer.

I don't think they'll be doing this at all unless someone swaps in a manual or real auto, the cvt just isn't right for this type of build.

You're smoking crack if you think some German car is any "better" then a Japanese built car... I agree FWD sucks but they're still great cars. And that German car will have insane maintenance costs and mechanical issues down the road, while this Civic is still running like a champ.
