Silent Night
Gold, Frankincense, & Myrrh?
Why would you bring these gifts to a new born baby?
Before it was used as an offering to a church, the concept of a tithe was used as a sign of respect.
Gold is a gift (or a tithe) for a King.
Frankincense is an incense used in worship for God.
Myrrh is a resin/perfume used in both worship and is also used to prepare a body for burial.
The gifts of the Magi are a foreshadowing of the entire story of this child’s life.
This baby that the only place the world had to offer was a dirty feeding trough came here as our King, our Lord, and one that would die to pay for our sins.

I want to learn this song. I like your intro. It seems as though you are playing, simple A, G, C in the verses and a G6 and C6 in the chorus. Is that right?

Bob great job on this song. What are the two barre chords you play in the song? They look like F and G major. Why the G major if there is already a G chord in the song? Again great job! I have been a lifelong student of guitar off and on. In my late 50's gving iit another go.
