Baxter campground and marina, Table Rock Lake, Missouri 2024
Our July 2024 camp trip to Baxter campground and marina on the beautiful Table Rock Lake in the Ozarks in Missouri. This is our second time at Baxter. We had site 4 with lake front access. We walk the campground and the marina and relax in the water.

March 18, 2023, we continue our trip to Virginia and West Virginia. On the eighth day we begin to make our trek home and stop over at Cumberland Gap and hike the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail and the National Park’s Pinnacle Overlook.

March 18, 2023, we continue our trip to Virginia and West Virginia. On day eight, we begin to make our way back home and stay the night at the Old Historic Mill Bed and Breakfast in the historical town of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee.
Old HWY 86 campground, July 1, 2024

Old 86 is a Corp of Engineer campground on a peninsula on Table Rock Lake, MO with most sites having lake front views and access to the lake. We relaxed and swam to beat the heat and walk the campground to show the other sites.

Hidden Gem: lower Buffalo National River Kayak float

Our late May 2024 camp trip to one of our favorite places, Buffalo National River and Buffalo Point National Campground. The scenery is so beautiful and the river is easy to float. All the times we have floated the Buffalo River, it has been quiet with nature and not a lot of people around. It’s a real hidden gem.

Overlook Trail Buffalo Point National Campground, Arkansas

Our late May, 2024 camp trip to Buffalo Point National Campground in Arkansas. In this video on Friday we hiked the Overlook Trail that overlooks the Buffalo River. In the next video we kayak the Buffalo River on Saturday. This is our third kayak trip at the Buffalo River.

Day 7 of our trip to Virginia and West Virginia. On March 17, 2023, we leave Lewisburg, West Virginia and drive to our next destination to Cumberland Gap, Tennessee. On our way to Cumberland Gap, we drive through beautiful landscape on I-65 to I-77 to 460 to 58 traveling through Wise and Tazewell counties and Big Stone Gap, Virginia.

Part one: We visit the civil war museum at The Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield in Missouri. The museum is free. In part two, we take the self driving tour of the battlefield. The park also features walking trails and horse trails.

Day 6 of our trip to Virginia and West Virginia. On March 16, we leave our stay in Staunton, Virginia and drive west on I-64 towards our next place of stay in Lewisburg, West Virginia. In this video, on our drive to Lewisburg, we drive through the beautiful Allegheny Mountains and Covington, Virginia and then visit the Greenbrier luxury resort in West Virginia.
