Hey All, Here’s an etude I wrote over rhythm changes. I’m playing the melody on the NuEvi with (my Christmas present) the Arturia Microfreak as the sound module. Hey All, I put up some "jazz" play along tracks on my Band Camp. The tracks were made with just the Teenage Engineering PO 33, and PO 35 pocket operators. Pretty Awesome Wild ! My 👂 really love’s your improve style ! You can tell it’s very advanced! I switched from EVI to EWI using reverse EVI fingering setting. Wanted to go cordless and sound module less. I exclusively use a similar sounding patch on the Akai EWI solo called “Truth” 👍

Hi John, I have an EWI, I am wondering what DAW you use and what MIDI sound
I use the Moog model D app with my i pad, and I mostly use the Dave Smith Evolver for live gigs. I used the UNO synth on one of these. I also like the arturia microbrute, arturia Micro Freak, and the Roland se-02 is also nice. Though mine seems to to go out of tune in extreme registers.

@@wazoo4495 I set the aftertouch (usually to 100) to modulate the filter, and put the synthesizer setting to legato, then play with the filters
@@Noidal77 I had trouble with my SE-02 going out of tune, too. I thought it was the cv tune setting but I never could get it dialed in. Ended up trading it for a second ZOIA :)

You're a great musician. I just found your channel tonight after discovering the NuEVI for the first time. I really like your videos of the sets at " Chris' " and this one. I would say that this one in particular is my favorite, but wish it was a full ten minutes or however long it would have been as a live performance. Well worth the time to listen! Personally, I'm a big Frank Zappa fan, and I think of Frank's live performances in the early days when I hear your play the NuEVI. I hope to have one myself one day and pair it with the Korg MS-20, ARP 2600, and an Expressive E Touche. Cheers and please consider making a "remix" of this video in a longer production.
