This was the first Candlemas service I've ever attended. How lucky I am to live in walking distance of this great building and attend such a service. The cathedral was filled with candlelight and incense, it was so alive!

I see what you mean about the Roulade by Seth Bingham. Very technical in structure but very well executed and the tonal colours and variation was very enjoyable. The Coates arrangement was phenomenal and showed how versatile the Norwich organ is. The Tuba was sublime. Bravo!!!!

I enjoyed the Bach immensely and your registration was just right. How very bad mannered of that person who was obviously not interested one bit, in the music. Completely unacceptable behaviour and it continued during the Debussy. They should have been kicked out. They completely Ruined the excellent performance of the Festing which I was hearing for the first time. Had I been playing I would have been very tempted to publicly humiliate them for their pig ignorance.

Good heavens, I had no idea an organ had some many pipes, amazing to see it all going back together. Thank you.

Oh, man, do I LOVE pipe organs… a LOT. No surprise the algorithm recommended this gem. Just watching a time-lapse of the build, getting a sense of the enormity of the project, would have made my day. But what’s the only thing better than a pipe organ? Widor’s toccata on a pipe organ! And at the correct tempo, no less. That’s my favorite piece! So glad I watched this on my big screen, with the good sound system. I’m going to be grinning for at least week! And thank you, thank you, thank you to the skilled craftspeople building and maintaining these intricate, delicate, and historical behemoths. Like the rumble of a 32’ pipe, the work you do is undeniably unique, commands respect, and earns my appreciation by shaking me to my core.

Wonderful! And I love how, when the sound baffles are installed and opened, the music is majestically increased in volume.

Absolutely marvelous and the results appear and sound stellar! Widor's toccata is a perfect piece of music to present the full dynamic of a large organ. Great work!

I have very happy memories of the organ when I lived in Norwich in the 1980s. The Procession of Witness on Good Friday, entering the cathedral by the west door and Adrian Lucas playing ‘Lift high the cross’.

Ok, I'm also following the M-L rebuild in A.C. and found this not only really educational and enjoyable to watch, but also really like Widors 5th. Its played at a perfect tempo, not like someones going to the races to finish it.

So happy the cathedral has its instrument back! Loved the crown inching its way into position. I enjoy watching the Eucharist and Evensong streams from America.

Love this video! Greetings from USA. About 2 or 3 decades ago, I bought a CD entitled Christmas Choir from a sale rack at Walmart, and a few years later, another CD entitled The Angels Sang. There are some common tracks between them, and they were recorded by the combined choirs of Norwich and St. Paul's. The music is superb; even though the organ has a lot of stops pulled, the voices are clear. These CD's although the least expensive in my Christmas library, are my absolute favorites.

Now, THAT was just fascinating. Especially liked the enclosed section; putting in the mini pipes from the tray holders. So cool. Now voicing and tuning!!

I can't even begin to comprehend the skills necessary to rebuild that monster. Making sure every single one of it looks like at least 1,000 pipes are all connected to the right stops, keys, and pedals. Nor can I begin to imagine the skills necessary to be able to design such a behemoth.

Wow, that is amazing. The skill, the intricate inner workings and the amazing music too. Wonderful work.

George, you are brilliant! The Prelude and Fugue was amazing. I have heard this played too fast, but your tempo was spot on. You are a very talented and accomplished young man. You play with such confidence and accuracy and seem to put your heart and soul into it. May I also say you are very visibly pleasing on the eye. The Chorale in A Minor was awesome, Tempo and Registration. Brought a tear to my eye.

You are a very gifted young man and a master of the organ. Your Mum must be proud of you. You are also very handsome and smartly dressed

I watch lots of online organ concerts. But nobody is playing great organ music by the belgian composer Flor Peeters (1903-1986)...Not brief pieces but great symphonic works just like the Lied Symphony Op 66
