Rejuvenation at The Beaver Works, Leeds | One Foot In The RAVE
Jumping into Rejuvenation, an event that pays homage to the golden age of rave culture. Hosted at The Beaver Works, Leeds - this night was a journey into the past that shows Old Skool reigns supreme. From Hardcore to Italo House, this is where the beats never stop, and neither do the people.
Join us as we explore this incredible space alongside Leah Maynard & Paul Banks @PaulBSceneStories experiencing his first-ever rave. Through hugs at the door, unstopable energy on the dance floor, and conversations with a community that treats each other like family, this was a life-affirming experience.
With no phones in sight and 100% focus on the music, Rejuvenation reminds us of the core ethos that started it all: love, community, and the power of the rave. This video captures the sounds, sights, and stories of a space where old-school ravers meet the new generation, proving that the spirit of the rave is alive and well.

Really nice that you knew what the tune was playing when it kicked in And you could enjoy the record straight laced For me I was at Sunrise at music box and it was some Psychedelic trance I haven’t the foggiest of the artist or track title Sounded pretty extraordinary anyway I enjoy your shows you let the artists tell their stories without interrupting Bless up
Thanks so much Jack , I had to ask the DJ what the track was after 😀
Been going here for 9 years when my mum introduced me to it and honestly the best night out I've had are all here the people and the music make this event
The article on your website is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for putting into words everything I've thought about it but haven't been able to put into words! I've not missed one since I first went in 2015, it's genuinely the best rave in the country. ❤
There's my old mate Tony "Pickle" at 10.18 giving it loads ❤
Wow, this is amazing. I can't believe this was my first ever rave as well, I had such a good time 🙂
The gallery in leeds was meant to be legend .I looked too young for me to go to the hardcore raves in Bristol acid house i was way too young but i grew out of rave and got into trance later on
I traveled from Slovakia for this event, it was incredible! Thank you for bringing some memories back ❤️
@@effeKtSVK it was so good - so many international ravers - glad you enjoyed it! See you next year 😉
We were doing the allnighters millionaires, banshee and rockworld 92 brilliant👌🏻
I used to love Prague 5 on Canal street, i remember Miss Moneypennys transforming the place one night…..brilliant. We used to go from there to berlin which was next door to Bookbinders, they used to do R & B upstairs and Funky house downstairs another great place only lasted a few years. From there we started going to 2 Risqué at North which was the old isobar and for me that was one of the best club nights I’d ever been too the djs were so good.
I remember getting given a acid house hoodie orange and Brown I think, psychedelic patterns , I was small for my age maybe 9 when i got the top but I remember my dad saying 'Aciiiid!' At the time ,they must of made them tops for their kids as well 60s fashion came back as well as the acid tabs as well ,flares ect
Loved that era mate . Im about your age so i lived it myself 😊 we were blessed.
Brilliant , we had such a top day doing this didn’t we Fran , what a top stories you got here x
❤
Leah is a legend , I really enjoyed the afternoon doing these videos with you 😀
@@PaulBSceneStories she’s so cool!
"Rhythm Is A Mystery" is my favourite song of the entire 1990s. I've put it at the top of my 1991 music videos playlist. ua-cam.com/play/PL6oCQqv2KW6WNSAjTtZqcv6hPrCJivYFE.html
Good point about John Peel. I used to listen, tape ready, for the three or four house and hip hop tracks he played each show. Big Band House - Aqua Regia is one I still have on tape from his show, that I never heard elsewhere. Bought your white label four track EP after 808 played it, introduced as Wild Track, with the sample from the kids TV show. Fond memories of the first time I heard Rhythm Is a Mystery out - Solstice 91 at Manchester Academy, the whole place with hands in the air for the breakdowns.
Rhythm is a mystery was & is such a klass tune. Brings back some happy memories. You can see them reliving those times just from facial expressions alone, absolutely brilliant. Nice interview. Atb.
I met the guys at a house party in West Lothian, Scotland late 90s, nice guys. I had a little spell on the decks and they complimented me on my mixing, which was a nice touch.
Oh that's you, Acid house Trance goes very deep through your body and soul when on lsd, Read vice I was the resident Acid dealer at the hac ,football hooligans took it and stopped fighting with away fans and listened to acid house on their walkmans.
Wow I wouldn't take Acid and go to the football on Acid, your crazy bro.
Love k klass legends and l am so happy to of met them. Its not everyday l get to meet my dance legends. 😍❤️
His pupils say it all
Best band ever these lot they have lived the dream
@@TheSugarDaddy1 absolutely- still living it!!
Great interview, I love K Klass. Love stories like how they listened to the radio shows to discover music and the record shops . Took me on a nostalgia trip x
@@PaulBSceneStories thanks Paul! They are some seriously cool people ❤️
black riot todd terry was a blasst in 1988
I loved that track 😎
I forgot to mention the new rewritten original version has MC MARTAY on the rap which l rewrote it including stuff Peter Hayes had written Martays whose vocal is the Shute The Flute Mix and Hungarian Deli Mix most of the work was down to Colin Thorpe and the remix is Neil Claxton and Johnny J as the Development Corporation
Aniff is a legend isn’t he. I learned so much doing this with you and him this afternoon x

Thank you 🙏 We cannot wait to film more!!
love shawsey hes a class guy!
He is sound for having an interview with us 🎤
Stella’s observation about having her phone in her pocket when she’s locked into a band’s performance is really relatable. I caught them by accident. Some friends and I were at a club to see the headliner. We were at the bar talking when HM started. My musician ears perked up immediately. I pardoned myself, walked closer to the stage, and put my phone away. I was 100% locked in to their performance. All my friends’ attempts to converse were met with a piss off, to borrow an English expression, tone. HM is one of the best up and coming underground bands in the US.
That’s really lovely of you to say, we completely agree, their sound is brilliant, their performance is enchanting. Really looking forward to seeing how they progress in the years to come 🤘
yay i love hello mary
What is the tune that drops after the races remix??? 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Looking forward to hear your music now and in years to come. Love from Italy.❤❤
We want all the songs of mdou moctar that he sang in the concert
Cool stuff! I have to visit next year
@@macMagic7 please do, it’s a brilliant festival - they also do Edinburgh and Brighton too!! If that’s closer
@@acidrainuk Awesome! thanks, might try Brighton
Nooooo can’t believe you missed the clause Can hear them at 7:30
Best festival ever. Not sure if you went stumbefunk stage? That stage goes hard! Also it seems like you didn't find the secret swimming pool. On the street next to the barber's and tattoo parlour there is what looks like a normal fence but it's actually a hidden door and you can get to this swimming pool
Hannah Rowe Fanclub being formed rn
@@alyssaspeight7351 their music is incredible ❤️ facts
Although it’s so far away as I live in the sw, this is so high on my bucket list, after going festivals like balter I’ve got so much love for smaller festivals and this just seems like a great one
Great vid btw 🎉
This is exactly the vibe if you want a unique, cosy but hella fun festival. People are just incredible as is the music! hopefully see you there next time!!
