As a life time resident of Kentucky I can say I truly appreciate your video! Kentucky is full of gems like the horse cave , and cave city, the large tac is new for me , and I knew about the large case pocket knife… but there are many sights in Kentucky that are not publicized nationally, like the RockHouse in Southern Russell county, it’s a natural arch on the River, and in Pulaski county , north of Somerset there’s the short Creek. It’s the shortest River in the world. Of course you have the largest baseball bat in Louisville Kentucky, just to mention a few…

Happy belated birthday wishes! Watching your video I was immediately reminded of a couple places I think you'd enjoy (if you haven't already been there.) In Bloomfield KY there is a little place called Ernie's tavern (Olde Bloomfield meeting hall.) It's an ice cream shop, cafe, 2 lane bowling alley, pool hall, tavern that's chock full of memorabilia. It's supposedly owned by Jerry Bruckheimer. Yeah, the Jerry Bruckheimer from CSI and a bunch of other TV shows and movies. Well worth a look and another lunch! Just a couple blocks north on KY55 is the Maple Grove cemetery. Do stop there and read the historic sign at the entrance!! You can't make up stories like that one!!! AND in the vicinity is the John Deer tractor version of the Cadillac ranch. Really! I think Bruckheimer might own that land but don't quote me on that one. Side note- I tried to include a link to another website that told about it but UA-cam would accept my comments and when I reloaded the page they were gone. Twice!! If you search google maps for John Deer Tractor project you will find it. Also you can visit RoadsideAmerica dot com and search Bloomfield KY Deer John project. Happy Trails!!

Hi Mike! Rita and I were there last Sunday- Wed camping in the RV middle fork campground. We had pretty good weather and enjoyed our return visit. (We've been there many times over the last 30 years. We were a tad disappointed that the balanced rock trail is closed indefinitely. Fire last year burned the steps and replacement requires a helicopter to lift in supplies. So far Frankfort hasn't approved funds for that.... Also a critical deck that connects the lodge with the nature center is closed due to inspector finding weak foundations. No word when or if that will be repaired. Over all we love the park but are saddened to see that it's suffering due to budget restraints. Hope to see you on the trail one day! Happy Trails!
