23 Years As A Military Sniper - "What's it like having someones life in your hands?"
Angelo has spent 23 years in the Army as a sniper, he reached the rank of colour sergeant and shares all his knowledge on mindset and physical training. We explore Angelo's career in the military and discover what its like to have someones life in your hands. Angelo saved his wife's life in a terrible car crash where they were hit by a stupid drink driver. On a personal note I absolutely love their family and I know first hand their strong character and how they have had to fight through adversity due to the incident.

My son did his 30 miler on 11 Nov a few years ago. Stopped at 11:00 to honour the fallen, without allowance for it in the time. Knee injuries, fractured hips, etc and still running over the line.

As you alluded to, the biggest thing about a thrashing at CTC was not knowing what was next or when it would end. All you could do was give your all and wait for it to end.

Hi mate, I recently left professional football after 4 years and find myself in a very similar position to you when you were 19. It would be great if I would able to pick your brains and ask some more in depth questions about your mindset and thinking at the time! If this is at all possible please let me know! Cheers.

I used to load carry prior to Lympstone . Saturday took dog for walk with some weight in backpack. 2 days a week , light weight jogs with weight. 2-4 mile . Positive aspect also , as you know that you can carry weight. Mixture of static and specific weights.

I did it in the RMR and I remember how it turned my attitude to my day job upside down. Fridays used to drag on...but all of a sudden Friday afternoons went time very very quickly and before you know it your looking out the window in the back of a minibus heading out of London passed all the packed bars and clubs, knowing you'll be on a insertion march by midnight in some miserable training area. I used to tick off the 40 hours to go before going home on Sunday afternoon. It was worth seeing it to the end though. Probably the only thing ive done that im proud of.

If you have no example to look to at being a man, look at Jesus. Paul tells us that a man is supposed to love even as Christ loved the church (us), and Christ sacrificed his life for us and never complained. That’s what being a man is, self-sacrificing love

Seems to have changed a great deal from when I joined in 79. Back then you had to be able to do a number of press ups and sit ups but the idea was your fitness would develop as training progressed starting with IMF through to the bottom field.
