I used to operate a machine like that, but not in the dangerous way he's doing it. He's supposed to be feeding the sheets broadside, not from the side of the machine. He looks like he's going to get his arm crushed each time!

Thank you for posting your comment. I was looking for a video to show my brother what I did as a Diecutter as we were talking about videos of industrial accidents. I was nearly crushed to death in a larger heated version of this machine as a coworker and I had to climb in and clean the dies with our feet up on the heated side and scrub the dies with metal brushes to get rid of the excess built up[. As we were about to climb in the press it activated one more time BY ITSELF. BY ITSELF. We stood there staring at it for awhile and I told my coworker, "I'm going down and shutting the main switch off, and I will wait for the flywheel to STOP." We were still nervous about getting in there anyway but I think about it still to this day that we probably both would have squirted out the sides of that press, not to but too mention the smell of the remains of two humans crushed in a 400 degree press would have had a terrible smell to boot, and who exactly cleans that mess up? The black bar on the front of the press in this video seems to have the same safety sensor as the press we had, but we loaded from the front on a platform.
