There is a fan-made series, The Rise of Bangtan, 21 episodes, the creator had editing as a job in real life and she did an amazing job, you won't believe it's fan made. It follows BTS's jurney from debut to about 2018 when they became famous (she stopped there because she changed her job and for personal reasons chose not to continue). She used official content in this series, interviews, clips from live performances (edited in a way that can go on youtube), behind the scenes moments, their livestreams on youtube, and so on. A lot of content you wouldn't get to otherwise, you can't watch 11 years worth of content realistically speaking 🙂, these guys were almost non stop on camera. Each episode centers around 1-2 meaningful songs from that era , so you could follow up with those music videos and this way you will go through some of their discography chronologically. This is just an idea, you do whatever you feel like 🙂. I know army can be quite overwhelming sometimes, we all gave ideas and prefferences, don't try to cater to everyone, you will end up not enjoying this 🙂 Also, even tho there are exceptions, many BTS fans are not k pop fans in general, we like BTS for some features that actually makes them different from a lot of kpop bands, so you may not get so many recommendations for other artists as you were expecting 🙂.

Thank you for sharing about your loss, btw. I lost a close friend several years ago, the first time I lost a friend, and it was sudden and unexpected. A thought came to my mind that life is like a tapestry where each of us is a thread woven into it. When she died, her thread was cut short and the tapestry since then has had a different pattern than what I thought it would be. I remember and miss her from time to time but life goes on and is still beautiful.

“Spring Day” is about loss, nostalgia, and things will get better. SUGA’s lyrics of wanting to forget bc it hurts less than to blame you are apparently related to the loss of a friend, not due to death but no longer being a friend for other reasons. I wonder if he’s thinking of the same person in his song as Agust D “Dear My Friend”.

So RM and Suga (AgustD) wrote this song about friends they lost along the way , it started from their personal experience. The music video was connected/paid tribute to the Sewol tragedy. At the time they had donated to the families of the victims and even met with them, which we found out in 2020 when those family members of the victims spoke about it. They were asked about this music video connection with the tragedy, and they said that it is related to a tragic event but also longing (even this was mentioned quite a while after the song was released). They didn't want to make this about them, it was more of a quiet tribute to those victims, and the fans made the connections. From a recent article: BTS' timeless hit Spring Day has achieved an extraordinary milestone by securing a spot on MelOn's Year-End Chart Top 100 for eight consecutive years from 2017 through 2024. Of course we like it better if we can also see it, but we know the content, so I'm sure many people would chose to watch you react to those specific videos even if we can't clearly see it, in case it gets blocked. Fingers crossed you won't get many issues with that, but BTS is so amazing live and with some live performances you may find yourself in that "copyright" situation.

It so often gets labelled as "teenagers" music. BTS have a massive following of us "silver" Armys who are all of the older generations, they even have fans in their 80's!
