I never understood this anime...
Late comment, but this show is about the daily lives and struggles of those who had been teleported to a new world without any knowledge of their last one. they have to struggle to make a living depriving other creatures of life so they can continue theirs. It also capitalizes on the emotional and physical weight that would realistically be there.
