Welding Rock Sliders INTO The Body Of My Jeep Cherokee XJ

Gain ground clearance and rigidity in a Jeep XJ unibody by welding your sliders directly into the body! Jeep XJ unibodies can weaken and twist overtime due to hard off roading. Cutting out my rocker panels, welding my sliders directly to the body, and bracing them back to the frame should add a tremendous amount of strength to this chassis. And provide a great place to tie in a roll cage!

    I saw a while ago you posted about your EAG bumper but now I see you've switched. How did you like the EAG, and how sturdy was the winch plate I've come across a free winch but don't have a bumper. I had no problems with my EAG bumper. But honestly never loved the style. It just came with the XJ when I got it. I have heard of welds failing on them, so do need to look them over well. And I did bend it landing on it. And idk about a big meetup. Sometimes I avoid those haha.

    Would this work on a TJ wrangler? it has an issue with rough shifting, 1st to 2nd, and if you unplug it for the night it fixes it temporarily. I have done some digging and everyone else with the same problem says it IS NOT the PCM, but possibly the "transmission range sensor" which ive been told is the same thing as a neutral safety switch?????

    • @machinesinc
      @machinesinc Місяць тому

      I’ll be honest, I’m not sure what is causing your issue. The NSS is simply letting your vehicle know what gear you have selected, so this should not affect the shifting performance of the transmission itself. But also keep in mind that XJs have different transmissions than TJs
