You might want to craft the maul for the boss fight it breaks his armor down way faster than spear
Yep, that's the plan for next time, as well as getting the blueprints for the new armor and do a complete upgrade before trying again.
The maul is much better than the spear on armored enemies, you should definitely make it and put the orcbane rune on it.
Alright! ^_^. But that sadly is yet one more quick-bar item to keep track of and repaired. oh well I'll get use to it.
Just this game mobile ver, liking it so far a good time killer
Yeah, I like it. Kinda like Minecraft with a story and goals to follow.
@@Shadesveil000yeah and also the characters are funny and cute, Pippa's reactions everytime you finish a quest lol ..the downside of mobile ver is the game eats up the battery fast, but hey can't bring PC outdoors lol
@@gator7537 Yeah, I loved the story of this game and I plan to play #2 when I finish up the free play mode of this one. I did fix the volume issue for future episodes but all the main story episodes I'm far too quiet in

Thank you. I was disappointed that I unable to make anything new last episode, so it was nice to make progress this time.
this game seems interesting! my fiance and i watched the full episode one im sure we'll watch the other episodes as well.

Thanks, I've played to the return to Kashyyk so far and I'm enjoying it. ^_^
This is interesting. It seems that they changed the hit-boxes of the builder and the enemies. In the PS4 and Switch I wasn't capable of beating those Killerpillers from such a large distance. Nor was I capable of getting so close to the King Killerpiller without getting touch-damage. That was really frustrating. Because the enemies would often manage to paralyze me because I was just out of range to hit them, but they were in range to hit me. That made this one of the frustrating quests in the game. Your encounter seemed easier. Although, they probably upped the hitpoints on the burrows. You seemed to have to hit a burrow more often, before destroying it. At 19:51 I saw you use a Seed of Life and it healed all your lost hitpoints. It is good to know that a Seed of Life is still a full heal consumable. Oh, that is interesting. On the PS4 and Switch you can't go into first person mode. That is a feature that was added to Dragon Quest Builders 2. It allows for more precise building and destroying of blocks. Thus if you want to remove a specific block out from a larger construct without breaking the rest around it, then you don't have to position the Builder very precise. In addition first person mode has a lot longer range for destroying and placing blocks. Personally, I prefer the third person mode, because it feels less claustrophobic.
Agreed, the claustrophobia is why I decided not to use that view.
I see that, starving still causes you to lose health, has been unchanged. That is something they could have copied from Dragon Quest Builders 2. When you are starving, you walk slower, can't run and each time you place a block you do a sighing animation. I don't know if you have figured this out already. Whenever you have to go through poison or lava, don't jump. Just walk through it. The delay between hits on your health is longer when walking, then the time it takes you to fall back in the poison or lava when jumping.
I eventually realize this, though will occasionally jump anyway.
@@Shadesveil000 Old habits die hard, I guess.
WTF?!?!?! THE PC VERSION HAS INFINITE MATERIALS FOR BUILDING IN TERRA INCOGNITA?????? Wow, that is huge, because there is nothing as frustrating in the PS4 and Switch versions as getting the materials to build. You had to go out to the resource islands and collect the required resources and blank tickets. And once you stripped the island you had to reset the island to do the entire process again. Only so you would have enough to do some decent building. To be able to get infinite resources for building was one of the better Quality of Life changes they made to Dragon Quest Builders 2. They still have the Colossal Closet in Terra Incognita. That is a bit of a shame. In the PS4 and Switch version the Colossal Closet had 3 pages for item storage instead of the 2 pages that the Colossal Coffer had. But for Terra Incognita those 3 pages is way too little storage space. In addition the Colossal Closet isn't a replacement for the Colossal Coffer, which means that a "Treasury" room is only for the story chapters and not for Terra Incognita. Those figurine statues are a fun addition to the build recipes as well as the planet recipes. The PS4 and the Switch versions don't have those. The gloves are a mechanic that was brought over from Dragon Quest Builders 2. It is much needed addition. On the PS4 and Switch you either have to build temporary constructions or squirm yourself into awkward positions just to get blocks and furniture oriented the right way. The Meteorite Shoes in the PS4 and Switch version is the Meteorite Bracer, which is some kind of belt. It allows you to walk much faster. In the Switch version it is useful for building, but less useful for traversing the resource islands. In the Switch version you can right the Greatsaber Cub. When you arrive in Rimuldar you have 12 Plumberries? In the PS4 and Switch you only get 1. That is what you have to live on until you find food, which isn't too bad, because you can find Butterbeans and Frogstools pretty fast. 30:50 What were you doing? Does the PC version allow you to place blocks in front of you and run up them at the same time? The treasure chest on the tower wasn't at the top? Did they move it for PC version. I could have sworn that the PS4 and Switch have the treasure chest at the top for that particular tower. Now that you have completed the chapter. How do you look back at you stressing out that a NPC would die? Even though there isn't a time limit. The game is scripted to have some survive and some die. No matter how slow or fast you go about it, it won't change a thing
Infinite building material is definitely a draw to Terra Incognita, but you do have to earn each one by killing monsters, and from what I saw rare materials still have to be collected from the individual islands. So yeah, the block placing thing had to do with the auto step up as I placed blocks and for some reason it would allow me to place one block diagonally up with nothing under it, so I was trying to see if it would glitch and do a second one up allowing for easy staircases. It didn't work obviously but the fact you could place the block while auto stepping up and have an empty space was kinda cool. As for the npcs dying at the end anyway, its a little disappointing. Because of the fact you could easily replay any chapter from the start, I thought there would be event based consequences that by making one decision one thing happens, and then you replay to see the consequence of the other decision. Them dying at the end or while in transit felt like a perfect opportunity for this . As for stressing if they would actually die while trying to rescue them, I think it added a challenge and sense of urgency that was completely lacking throughout this game. Every single chapter let you take the events at your own pace, which is good. But, the events themselves had no urgency or failure chance. I think if some of them held some sense of 'Oh I can't just stand around' it would have added a little extra enjoyment.
Brick walls have pretty much the same strength as dirt walls. They are pretty much useless. The best material for the outer wall in this chapter is Obsidian, the black blocks. Even the Golem can't destroy that stuff. It hurt to see you replace the Obsidian bit of the wall with the Stone Wall blocks. Unless in the PC version the Stone Wall is made much tougher or Obsidian is much weaker. Ghosts can teleport inside the base, while it is completely walled of? They couldn't do that in the Switch and PS4 versions. Question, when you eat a Seed of Life to increase the max HP with 5, does it still heal you in the PC version? Because in the PS4 and Switch version it does. Which is why many players keep those seeds also as full heal items. However in Dragon Quest Builders 2 the seeds only increased the max HP by 5 and no longer fully healed you. I don't know if they brought that over from the second game. Damn, that was a good Golem fight. My first time fighting him left my town very much destroyed. Yours only has a few scratches. Well done! I think Magnus was the one that gave me the details for the Cantlin Garden when you casually talk to him after defeating the Golem. You can build this room in the town. The water is the hardest part, because the water only flows at a certain level and never goes up or down a level. As you don't have a water crystal you will need to dig a ditch to lead the water from the sea into the town. You will have to dig down a hole for the room though, which includes being able to place a functional door. The maximum room size in the PS4 and Switch versions is 90 floor tiles. Is that still the same in the PC version?
Yeah, stone walls are weaker than obsidian as far as I could tell, but I wasn't paying attention at the time. From what I found ghosts can only teleport in if you are in battle with them, which is really finicky and leads to them teleporting if they see you within a few blocks. I don't remember the seeds of life healing me, but I also tried to keep topped up so never really noticed. The trick with the golem battle I think was having more than one shield of antlin so I could adjust easier. I ended up looking up how to make the garden and yeah, the block limit is there because while I was building the garden, I had to keep cutting down the size to get it to register as a room and 90 blocks sounds about right.
I just noticed do you need to open a door when you approach it or does it automatically open for you? It is difficult to tell, but you don't seem to be able to walk on top of the Steel Doors to place blocks. Oh wow! I hadn't noticed this quality of life upgrade before. When you want to place a block, or in this case a teleportal, and an NPC is occupying the space, the game will shove the NPC to the nearest empty spot. This was introduced in Dragon Quest Builders 2. Originally the DQB1 would just tell you that you cannot place the block there and you have to wait for the NPC to move out of the way. Also I don't know if you learned this already, but when you find Gold, Ruby and Silver Sludge, you get the Naughty Night Light Recipe. You can get Silver Sludge by defeating a metal slime that hangs around the area where you got Splatrick. It's beyond the green teleportal. What a Naughty Night Light does is slightly naughty. Place it in a room as the room's light source and the residents working in said room may dress down to a Scandalous Swimsuit. But it isn't guaranteed.
Doors auto open, which is nice. people will move out the way though if it is a multiblock item like the colossal coffer or a large door, they sometimes move weirdly like through a two block tall wall. As for the light, I did get the recipe but never made it. I think I was missing the ruby.
I don't know if I asked you this already, but are you capable of holding down the place button and walk in a direction, to speed up the building? Because I continuously see you lace the blocks one at the time. This was an ability in the original PS4 and Switch versions and also for the Dragon Quest Builders 2. 30:16 If you would have talked to the other hammerhood, you would have gotten the Hammerton Hothouse blueprint.
You can but it locks your camera so I constantly end up out of line. My trick is to press up against a row of blocks while I'm placing to keep in the right direction. It also will sometimes place on top of a block you just placed instead of the next empty spot in front of you, creating a hole. I didn't know about the blueprint, I'll have to go back and see if I can find them.
@@Shadesveil000 What I always do is first place two blocks and then stand up against it with the camera right behind me. When I then hold the place block button and move the control stick either, left right or down, it will then place a nice two high wall. If you want to place a wall of just one block high, you can do the same trick, but you will also have to hold the button to look up and the button to look down at the same time. When you hold both the look up and look down button, the builder can only place a block at a single level. It is something I learned in DQB2, but it also works in DQB1. I'm wondering, did you ever get the grave in the cave as well. That sidequest would give you the Tallaria accessory, which allows you to double jump. Caves are actually hard to find from a Bird's Eye View. The best is just to stand back and look at the mountain wall from a distance. Even if you have to tower up to get above the trees.
@@zaeranos I don't remember getting the double jump, but I did get at least two cave graves with wisdom seeds

Amazing vid bro
Thanks ! ^_^ I'm glad you enjoyed.
Hmm, you don't have a separate screen for equipping weapons and armor and the shovel is a use item. This seems to be like Builders 2. I wonder how this then works with the accessories, because on the PS4 and Switch you had 2 slots for accessories and you got more then 2 during the chapter. That you would need to choose which ones to use for certain situations. You could use Featherfall Footwear and the Gourmant Girdle when exploring, but Gold Ring, Strength Ring, Ring of Criticality and Dragon Scale for combat. How does this work in the PC version? Do accessories still exist? Ik zie ook zo af en toe een "undo" knop verschijnen met oplichtende puntjes. Waar dient dat eigenlijk voor? En wat betekenen die puntjes?
You can actually open up an equip screen which shows two spots for accessories as well as your equipped armor and weapon. The use option is just a quick equip that if you already have two equipped replaces the older accessory. As for the undo button, it is to reverse up to the last seven blocks you've placed or broken with the dots representing those blocks. Its on a timer though, so the dots quickly disappear. I never actually used that feature at all because you have to hold right bumper and then press the overhead view button to activate it.
That is interesting that due to the automatic step up for one block you seem to be able to cross gaps of 1 block wide, without falling down. Now I am curious whether this is because the floor of the gap is 1 block down or you can walk over those gaps period, no matter how deep the floor is. It also surprises me that you can break castle blocks with just the Giant Mallet. I would have thought you'd need at least a Sledgehammer or even the War Hammer. The draw distance is also much farther. It's not that you couldn't see the islands at all. But from one point I could see the entire pyramid and beyond without any fog. I also just noticed that the battle information, on how many monsters you need to defeat or what the objective is of the scripted battle, is moved to the left upper corner under the HP and Base bars. Originally it was in the right lower corner above the controls.
Now I am certain I saw nighttime and damn that is different from the PS4 and Switch versions. You can actually see what you are doing. Here the sky turns a dark blue and the saturation of the colors darkens a bit. On the PS4 and Switch version it is as if someone turns off all the lights and just guess what you are walking against. Am I also correct in assuming that you don't need to jump up a block that is 1 high. You can walk against it and the game will automatically place you a block up? Or are you that good that I hardly notice any jumping.
Your right about the walk up one high, but only if you hit it straight on, if your crooked you still need to jump. Its a smooth animation too, like walking up stair blocks is a little jiggle to the camera which walking up one high doesn't do.
I must say that there are some desired QoL improvements that they ported over from Dragon Quest Builders 2. - The hunger meter is given in a percentage now, instead of those weird bread icons. - There doesn't seem any durability/degradation on weapons, shield, hammer and armor. - Weapon and hammer have there own separate buttons. You don't need to switch between them anymore. - Bird's eye view seems to go much further, allowing you to see much more of the surroundings. - The active item bar holds many more items than usual. Seems like almost twice as much. - The Colossal Coffer might be larger, because it seems like the space for equipment is now also used for items. But I'm not to sure about that yet. - You can place blueprints, without the need to completely clear the bottom layer where you want to place the blueprint. - On the workstation the items that need to be build for a quest are marked. - On the workstation the items that need to be build for a blueprint are marked with a counter of how many you need. - On the workstation you can now tell how many of an item you want to build at once, instead of just one at the time or the absolute maximum. - Nights don't seem to be as dark. You can still see what you are doing when you are in the field. Or haven't you actually shown off night just yet? Differences I don't like as much: - How they visualize the time and the compass in the top right corner of the HUD. - How you can access chest from a larger distance. Even through walls. This makes it easy to put things in a wrong chest, when they are at opposite ends of a wall.
Ah, I'd last played DQB 2 on the switch and was probably mixing up my memories with that. Though having it all laid out like this makes me really happy that they implemented these changes from two into the pc release of 1. Colossal Coffer is bottomless as far as I can tell, adding new rows as I added stacks to it.
I do love me some Doom Eternal.
Thanks for the watch. Hopefully the slayer gates don't take me too long to conquer so we can get back to the story soon.
I don't know if someone has already pointed it out to you, but the volume of your voice is very low compared to the game audio. I really have to focus hard to be able to make out what you are saying. You may want to mix the audio settings for your recordings better. Having that said. I really loved playing this game on the PS4 and the Switch. And because I am not a PC gamer, I wasn't planning on buying this game for a third time. I am curious though how the PC version differentiates from the PS4 and the Switch releases.
You are the first person to bring this up, and listening back over the youtube version I agree. Sadly for all the main story episodes, the audio can't be altered as they have already been recorded and I record the game audio and my mic audio in one channel. But, I can reduce the game volume for the free play section as I have only recorded one episode of that so far. In fact I just reduced it from setting 5 volume to setting 2 which sounds better in my headphone. Hopefully that translates to sounding better on youtube, As for differences, I own the switch version and the pc version but I haven't noticed anything different. Maybe slightly smoother gameplay, but it is not a 60 fps game so that is probably in my head. And yes, I very much enjoyed playing the story of this game. I have trouble with pure building without set goals, so having things to work towards in the story really helped.
@@Shadesveil000 When I record videos for my channel I always record the mic and the game audio on separate tracks. I then use a free video editor, such as DaVinci Resolve, LightWorks, or ClipChamp, to balance the audio to my liking and merge them together. That way I don't have to record again unless the video is messed up. If you are looking for inspiration to build something in Terra Incognita, you could look at other LP's. In my LP for the Switch version I did what I was also doing during the chapters. I build myself a town. I had set as a goal to show of the room recipes for Dragon Quest Builders 1. However not everything fit in the chapters. Thus I build those rooms in Terra Incognita. I also added rooms that you would expect in a town. In addition of the spirit of the final chapter I build myself a Castle and a Monster Fortress.
Give it up.
Yeah, I really liked that taxi design but I think your right and it needs a complete redesign. It wasn't really wide enough for the lander that I envisioned to dock to anyway

That looks like a very unsafe build...are we sure it was FAA approved?
Nah, its ... fine. Though I did mess up the placement of the command pods in an odd way that doesn't become obvious until I land the thing.

Just try to start the flight with the line of horizon on the navball (half blue and half brown) instead of a full colour (facing up- blue / full brown - facing ground).
I beg you find some new armour I cant with the gold swordspear and blue knights combo 😅
I'm a little ahead of this in recording ,but in episode 26 I find a new chest piece, so I could start wearing a new set in a few videos ^_^.
@@Shadesveil000 yayyyy
Enjoyable video. I’ve just started playing this but have some reservations about it. 1) My parachute keeps disappearing a short distance from touchdown, causing destruction of the pod. On my next run through I’ll had a drogue chute to act as a reserve. 2) The uncertainty of the future of the game considering the recent news of the closure of the developer.
I had problems with the parachutes not deploying, but that was due to me not turning off time-warp, never time-warp while landing a pod. As for the future, KSP 1 is still a great game especially with mods if your looking for something similar and don't trust KSP2. Take-Two interactive and Private Divison have promised to continue updating KSP2, but it looks like most the original developers were fired for one reason or another so who knows how long it will be before those updates. Still, I am liking this science mode play through, and I have thoughts about doing a modded play through after.
