Zuta LA25 ch1 | Amp Demo
For this demo I wanted to showcase the versatility that the first channel definitely is capable of. Dynamic and clear, without needing to sound harsh or shrill. And a bright switch that actually sounds good! No post EQ or compression were added to the guitar tracks.
All time based effects come from the Quad Cortex, as well as the IR.

For this demo I wanted an open overdriven sound. The LA25 is amazing at retaining the clarity and dynamics, even with more saturated sounds. All guitars recorded using the second channel of this amp. No post EQ or compression. To showcase the width of this lovely little amplifier I went ahead and composed a little ditty inspired by some progressive metal stuff that I heard many years ago. I'm pretty sure I have stolen the melodic hook, but no clue where from. Please enlighten me if you know! 😄 For this song I used the awesome Warrior guitar, tuned to B Standard. I'd sure love some more subscribers, so feel free to pr...

For the last couple of years I have been relying quite heavily on Quad Cortex from @NeuralDSP Aside from it sounding amazingly good, I'd say that one of its many strengths is the ease of use and intuitive interface. 9 out of 10 times I can get whatever sound I want, just within a couple of minutes, which is more than I can say about any of the other modelers I have tried. 0:00 - Intro 0:21 - Ra...

There's many advantages when using the new digital stuff. I love my Quad Cortex for all sorts of things, but I have recently also been experiencing an inexplicable need for that familiar sound and feel that I get only when using a real tube amp. The Zuta LA25 really ticks all the boxes when it comes to sound and features. I'll be doing some demos soon. Gear used: - 1960 Gibson ES-175D - Zuta LA...

My take on this week's SWOLA. Apparently spatial awareness game wasn’t on top, when shooting the video. Is sound similar to Bogner Atma ?!
This is the problem I have..sometimes I get a tone that I love and sits in the mix but latley no luck Thx for the tutorial I will copy what u did Very good guitar playing❤..u know the guitar and how to dial things.. Can you do a tutorial for how to dial a tone for a more a mix that has strings and keybords Cheers
Hi! Yeah, depending on the song and arrangement it can sometimes be very hard to dial in a sound that both pleases your ears and serves the song. My experience is that we tend to be too bass-heavy when we dial in a sound. Thanks to your comment I got stoked to make a video to address that very problem. And thank you for the kind words!
sounds killer! Thanks for the Vid!
Thanks 🙏
great sound and playing dude
Thank you so much!
I really dig the tone on its own, but I feel like it could benefit a bit from more presence when you play in the lower register, but I guess that a matter of taste🤘🏻
Yeah, it could absolutely benefit from some tweaking. Thanks, though!
Your tone sounds exactly like the Die to Live recording 😮. Incredible guitar!
Thanks! It took some time to make that preset. That whole album is killer, if you ask me!
Is this preset available to use????
Not sure! I'll have a look.
Here's the link for that preset: cloud.neuraldsp.com/cloud/p/e04088d8-c2e5-41c2-98fa-e5b50c59b7f7
The looping and freeze were pretty fun. Might use the freeze function for pads under worship music Thanks for sharing!
awesome tutorial and great playing
New Sub
Love the ego free approach. Keep rockin.
Thanks a million!
Came for theQuad Cortex, but stayed for the great playing ! Really nice bro! Congrats.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it!
Wow, very nice demo. Excellent playing and tones! "Beauty" as us Canucks like to say ;)
Thank you so much ☺️ Love Canada!
Sounds great!
Thanks a bunch!
Direkt inspelad eller med mikrofon?
Hej!
So it's not super easy and takes some effort, like everything good in life. Surely not IMPOSSIBLE. 😂
Yeah, you're right about that. However - compared to other modelers, I find the QC to be a lot more intuitive and easy to navigate. Others (whining members in certain groups) seem to disagree, though. 😆
Having trouble uploading the ir for this ir is missing after I downloaded your preset is there any way you can share IR upload to cloud cortex so I can then save and download Many Thanks
Sorry, I missed this message. Apologies!
Great demo Alexander, that sounded awesome 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks a million 😊
Dont we all like tight spaces lol
Hahaha! I was waiting for that comment 🤣🤣
Snyggt!! 🤩🎸
Tusen tack! ❤❤
It sounds good at home but in a rehearsal plugged into the PA it can sound awful, far too much high end on everything. Hard to even out the levels on different scenes. For the money it costs it should be easy to use.
I hear you. I have found that modelers are a bit tricky when it comes to dialing in good sounds for live use. From what I have experienced - it depends on a variety of things. I am actually making a video about this specific thing. I hope it can be of some use 😊
@@alexanderbergstr0m Thanks, I've subscribed, I'll definitely check out what you're doing on this
What exactly is the IR doing? Im new to all these tyoes of things
The IR Loader primarily houses the impulse responses, which are "snapshots" of physical speakers in rooms etc. Really handy stuff.
sounds awesome, man!
Thanks! 🙂
Great Idea! Sits in the mix, spot on!
Thanks! I really appreciate it 😊
Good instruction and GREAT playing man!
Thanks man! I really appreciate the kind words 😊
I loved it !!!. Can you share the preset in the cloud? Thank you.
Thanks! 😊 Of course. I can upload it tomorrow.
@@alexanderbergstr0m Sounds great. Wondering if you uploaded to the cloud and where I might be able to find it?! Thanks.
@@danielwiener2861 thanks 🙏 Here’s the preset: neuraldsp.com/cloud/p/e04088d8-c2e5-41c2-98fa-e5b50c59b7f7
@@alexanderbergstr0m I downloasded this form the cloud but for the IR it says "2off-preshigh is missing"
@@Clive007 oops. I need to get that sorted. Thanks for letting me know!
Hi.... I think that the problem is in the tone that is for a live gig It all sounds good when it is done at low power...and then when I come to a gig where the power is, say, 120-150 db, there is a lot of bass and treble. I would like someone to tell me how to solve this problem. I've been using Kemper for 10 years and I've never had such problems...I tried with global EQ, EQ in the chain before, after the amp, I tried to change the CAB, simply nothing. I bought many IR's but they all sound good at low power. When the power is raised for live gigs, the nightmare begins I never had that problem on Kemper... Kempe has a stronger signal. I always go directly to the desk and I never had to raise the gain on the desk to get working power. Gain was always at the lowest position. Master volume on OUTPUT on Kemper it doesn't change the tone frequencies..I only used CAPTURES and IRs ... I don't like the amplifier models.I downloaded the Kiko presets ... and I still don't understand how he plays with these presets when everything is in the bass , I have more bass than my bass player just to mention that all this happens at live gigs with a volume of 120-150db FOH Do you play a live gig and how did you solve this problem
Hey there. I’m about to do a video on how to dial in a good live sound. There’s some tricks to it, I think. I hope it can help you with your problems.
@@alexanderbergstr0m Man !!! i need this video too ! Thank for your help ;)
Sounded really nice Alexander I thought this was a really good video and I don't know anything about the quad cortex however I have used the Headrush since 2018. Look forward to watching a few more video's from you. Best wishes from the UK 😎😎🎶🎶🎶🎶
Thanks! Yeah, I guess that you can apply parts of this philosophy to other modelers as well. I have never tried any Headrush stuff, but from what I've heard they sound great. New stuff coming this week! Take care 😊
Why does it say it say it’s impossible to get a good sound? You mean it’s impossible to get a bad sound if you know what you’re doing. Tbh it’s not that hard. So was that just for views?
Yeah, it was kind of a clickbait title 😂 I’m seeing a lot of posts that people are complaining about not being able to get a good sound out of the QC. It’s really easy imho. Hence the title.
It's called clickbait
Mycket bra förklarat lillebror❤
Tack, tack <3
I try to find a melody in this song and then I stick to that. I don’t feel this is a shredding song. And I follow 1-2-3-4..and not following the rhythm 😀.
Hi Alexander. Thanks for taking the time to share this video. I like your straightforward presentation. I have had my QC about 4 months. My needs are pretty simple. I play at church every week. I love the Fender edge of breakup sounds. You sounded good with that preset you made here and nice playing too. God bless.
Thanks man! I love the fact that one can make a decent sounding preset in no time. Really useful when doing freelance work or quick recordings. I have some more QC videos coming up, so stay tuned 😊.
@@alexanderbergstr0m I will be looking forward to them!
