Breaking Barriers: Black Quarterbacks in the NFL
Description: In this video, we explore the history and impact of black quarterbacks in the NFL. From the pioneering efforts of players like Willie Thrower and Marlin Briscoe in the 1960s, to the trailblazing careers of Warren Moon, Doug Williams, and Randall Cunningham in the 1980s and 1990s, to the current generation of stars like Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Russell Wilson, black quarterbacks have shattered stereotypes and challenged conventional wisdom about what it means to play the most important position in football.
Through interviews with NFL legends, coaches, and analysts, we examine the challenges and opportunities that black quarterbacks have faced throughout history, including prejudice, skepticism, and even outright racism. We also celebrate their triumphs and successes, including Super Bowl victories, MVP awards, and record-breaking performances.
Whether you're a die-hard football fan or simply interested in the social and cultural impact of sports, this video offers a fascinating and insightful look at one of the most important and inspiring stories in NFL history. So sit back, grab some popcorn, and join us as we explore the fascinating world of black quarterbacks in the NFL.

There's no more record companies to groom singers, young people dont even try to sing for a living, nobody dances anymore - women have to get up & group dance and the biggest reason nobody plays instruments in the hood anymore so no more song righting and no music in inner city schools

As soon as Vicom got a hold to BET, it was a done ✅ deal..The diamond 💎 club don’t care about black people. They wanted to mold us into stereotypes and jokes for the world 🌎 to see on TV and over time we accepted it. Now all we got is Thugs and 304s and our so called educated celebrities talking like Thugs and 304s. It’s sad 😔 to be honest.

Most of them move on to become famous movie stars like Will Smith made Men in Black and Martin Lawrence made Big Momma house. As a Jewish white guy I grew up watching Black movies like Comedy, Action, Drama and Horror. But the only Black sitcoms show I watched was Everybody Hates Chris and Blackish. Because it wasn’t until Don Cheadle who played War Machine from Iron Man introduced me to Fresh Prince.

Just like a plant needs sunlight to grow, the main ingredient that’s required to create pure R&B is love. If love is being labeled as thirst by the same women that are out here making men feel guilty for liking them by calling them thirsty, then how on earth can R&B be created when the admiration and the main ingredient which is love for blāck women, inspired the creation of it to begin with? Fēminism ruined pure R&B and blāck American love and culture. It’s infuriating to see it play out in real time. It’s real life depressing.

I miss the old days of Bet😭, 106 & park, Cita’s world, Access Granted, Hell date, Comic view, Rap city, Midnight luv, and College Hill to name a few shows. I also enjoy the variety of movies that they use to show and feature small film makers as well. Bet awards use to be a staple to watch once upon a time. Everything is sad, like you said Tyler Perry’s degenerate movies/shows dominate bet amongst the other horrible shows they currently have on the network now.

10:32:to give you some TV history here, this was the late 90's equivalent of something named "The Rural Purge" that happened in the late 60's early 70's The networks got rid of all their Middle America type sitcoms(The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, Petticoat Junction etc) to aim for more higher end advertisers and larger eyeballs(sound familiar?) And thats why you had stuff like All in The Family, The Jeffersons,Maude,Mary Tyler Moore etc. The Networks threw away their black building blocks sitcoms to shoot for a Whiter audience

I don’t know why some celebrities get into fights and act ghetto on reality shows going on now when they’re already actors/actresses or singers. It makes no sense. They don’t have to spend time arguing with others on tv. They can spend time pursuing their careers and other ventures.

It's a battle and it always will be because they're trying to erase our culture. Record execs love these new "artist" nowadays, because to make their music is cheap. All you need to make a hit nowadays is a beat machine and synthesizer. While most real artist, like Jill Scott, Eric Robeson, Raheem Devaughn , Kindred the Family Soul, you have to pay for a band to make their music. Cheap and easy will always win out. That's how the Cardi B's, Doja Cat's, Drake's and Kanye West's can pump out music every other month.

Most of the best R&B is in the Indie space. Foreign Exchange, Eric Roberson, Carmen Rodgers, Deborah Bond, Carlitta Durand, BeMyFiasco, and others have dropped dope music that continues to keep the genre relevant to many dj's and music heads including myself. I don't think it will hit the heights of days past because anything that paints Black love and life outside of pathological or sexualized imagery isn't marketed or backed by the "industry" in a consistent way. The few artists that are allowed through (Silk Sonic, H.E.R.) are outliers, but will never be the main again.
