Praise Him for His mighty acts, Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Psalm 150:2
And let everything that hath breath... PRAISE THE LORD!
HALELUYAH....AMIN
Wow. One of the most beautiful rendition of the song I've ever heard. Heartwarming! Praise God.
Look at all that gluten =D
Another beautiful talk by Elliot - he will be SO missed. And such a great topic for Elliot, showing his humble and Christ-adoring heart. Elliot clearly deeply longs for others to know the incomparable love of God. I too hadn't before thought of how in eternity, the painful divisions and 'separateness' will be erased between each person and there will be acceptance and love. Thanks very much too for the moving spiritual imagining at the end!
What is the full history of this song? Who wrote it.. when.. why.. is it representative of any particular passage of scripture? It's beautiful.. !
This hymn and variation on the lyrics are often sung during Thanksgiving services.
Sorry - could OUR local clergy association please use this hymn for our all-community, inter-faith Thanksgiving service on November 23rd? It is so perfect for that event - thank you!
Of course - you're welcome to use! All credit to St Martin in the Fields who recorded this beautiful audio :)
Could your local clergy association use this hymn for our all-community, inter-faith Thanksgiving service on November 23rd? It is just perfect!
Thank you! 🙏🏻 ❤️ 🌽
This hymn has a lovely, soaring first soprano descant which sounds awesome on the last verse!
This older hymn still sounds wonderful, even when it is sung in the 21st century. Beautiful singing and the organ accompaniment sounds great.
Singing into the the realm of almighty God!
Thanks to Lord & saviour **JESUS CHRIST** Amen Hallelujah!!!!!!
Pls allow me to use this hymn in our midweek online devotion. Thanks
Hi Fastour! Please feel free to use for anything you'd like! You would be so, so welcome :)
Thank you. So proud of Jesus and the wonderful gifts of music and singing that he gives tu some to bless us all.
Amen Cheryl - music is such a beautiful gift! A glimpse of heavenly worship!

I see the beauty of the art form but help me understand how the Kintsugi analogy aligns completely with Christian theology? Doesn’t God transform us, not celebrate our flaws? We have to recognise our brokenness in order to see our need of a God who transforms, not patch us up, even if it’s with gold glue. The process of sanctification is about renewal, or have I got this wrong?
Hi Gill, thanks so much for this very good point - very important to think about what our artistic illustrations really imply! Yes you are completely right - it is all about renewal! I would say that the a good way this Kintsugi analogy can be thought of is in terms of 2 Cor. 12:9-10 - "But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." Paul was a living example of this... God used Paul's brokenness (as a persecutor of Christians) to make His grace even more evident, so that Paul's life and ministry shone even brighter in the end because of where he had come from. You could say that the gold in the cracks is like Paul here 'boasting about his weaknesses', not because they are in themselves good, but because they are the channels in particular where God moves - "when I am weak, then I am strong". So you could also say the gold represents Christ's power - it is particularly present in our weakest and most broken areas. God transforms us entirely and it is in our weaknesses that this transformation is most evident. Thanks so much again for your reply - really helpful to clarify this more! So many blessings, Elliot (Curate at SPSJ)
