What torque spec did you use for the 4 bearing bolts on the diff cover
@@sanghyunlee8254 it was hard to find but I found some numbers on Miata forums. I used 75-85 ft/lbs if I remember correctly. I could be way wrong so take that with a grain of salt.

Good starting point but u need to turbo it, a ls motor in a heavy hatch like that is still running 16s qtr ,they handle boost pretty good around 10 psi stock internals but safely at 6
@@arcadeattic if we were drag racing it then we would definitely do something different or add a ton of power. But, this is an endurance racing car, specifically a lemons car where we have a strict budget. No room in the budget for a turbo or another swap.

Oh definitely. Manuals for any sort of track driving will always be more fun. Stay tuned for the other manual cars that we do autocross though. Fiestas are a blast! Plenty of fast guys drive fiestas.
Cheap and easy but won't work if you don't have a welder
Cvts are nice on track because they stay in the powerband at all times but they overheat super fast and aren’t reliable

Without the rubber bushing, it won't be long before the impact of exhaust movement while driving breaks that bracket right off. Probably taking a piece of exhaust with it. There is no give in the metal rod. It WILL BREAK. This might last for a while but is a temporary fix at best.
