The firewall will have been destroyed by the noise great impact in the accident … they are a real bear to remove and a bigger pain to reinstall
My father and I owned a 62 Cessna 172 C for many years. Good flying plane. This one pictured is a 61 Cesnna 172 B. Good airplane. Engine needs to be gone through to see if there is any other damage caused by the prop strike.

Almost nothing but the gauges, Garmin, and radios is salvageable.
Depends on why the engine failed. Did it blow a rod out the side of the block or was it a case of fuel exhaustion? It wasn’t producing power and I doubt there was sudden stoppage so the engine could be salvageable. They can always dial the crank to determine if any twist has occurred.

Agree. Most of it is bent, if not all of the structure (rivet holes) is yielded in a degree.

If it was ever worth it to go thru this crap for a profit, or even savings, they would be doing it instead of simply flipping an insurance owned wreckage lmao. Prop strike, good luck with that engine. lol. If this thing is anything more than the used cost of the avionics they can keep it. Otherwise, why didn't insurance pay out to fix it?
We handle the sale of these aircraft for the insurance companies. Many people use these as parts, they create simulators and/or rebuild them depending on the shape.

Dang. This seems like an awesome idea. I wonder if there is a lane here to be in an industry im fascinated with, and provide a service to somethjng like this that could be lucritive? Just a thought. Cause i will one day, (hopefully soon) have my own experimental. Coming accross this really peaked my interest. So i know it must do the same with others.
Couldn't tell you how lucrative Adam, however the parts companies buy a fair amount of these.
