Narcissistic crap. We should all cheat on the one we’re with because “look, something shiny and new”. When a man does it he’s a misogynistic asshole (and rightly so), but when a woman does it, it’s romance and chemistry and true love (for about six months until she tires of him and needs to seek out another “honeymoon period”.

Most rom-coms are pure, formulaic garbage. "Men do this [insert wah wah]" and "women do this [insert wah wah]", and this is the bottom of a very low rung. Even Shakespeare couldn't make the rom-com work for me. There is absolutely no value in that genre. This does not change that for me. I guess the only good thing about it is that it's mainly black people? So diversity? But if I were black, I'd be a little dubious as this not only talks down to black people, it asks them to like it just because it's for black people. It's a bad, amateurish rehash of so many bad films before it.
