Yamaha Stryker modifications

I've made some modifications to my 2013 Yamaha star Stryker. I relocated my license plate and added some highway pegs. The pegs are Kuryakyn long horn right angle pegs with the Kuryakyn magnum quick clamps.
Wanted to learn this solo for 10 years now. I finally did it! A little rough though.

Getting ready to put the first coat of tru-oil on my strat.
It kinda makes me mad how these companies routed extreme holes just for wires they could have run with small holes instead.

Did u just put some wood glue in the cavity then hammer in the block??
Correct. I used tight bond original. I used a chisel to tiddy up the hole then glued the block in via a rubber mallet.
I know this video is old but thanks for posting it! I’m about to use this product on a kit guitar and now I have a better idea of what I’ll be doing.
does the wood grain still show through after you have stained the body?
