First heard the Smiths in 1984, my girlfriend left a cassette in my car. I listend to it and was like WTF is this. I was listening to duran duran madonna michael jackson at the time and other top 40 hits in California. I played the whole cassette a second time and "i got it" it blew me away. Then i went to every record store in Hollywood, pasadena and Burbank trying to but everthing Smiths i could, 40 years later....still hooked😅

Great album but Moz could make a thousand solo albums it will never live up to The Smiths. Closest he came was Your Aresenal but nothing is like Johnny Marr

strange to hear Morrissey saying things like "living longer than expected" and "in the final hour of my life" given that he's still here 18 years later. He had a premonition that he was going to die at about 50 or something like that? Loved some of the songs off this record, my favourite of his post the Arsenal-Vauxhall one-two in the 90s.
