Dark Souls 2 - Jordy is Not Having Fun
I'm sorry. I tried giving this a shot, but I had to skip right to the end to see if there was any change in the 10 episodes I decided to give a miss. There was no change. Your approach never changed. Your strategy never improved. Your learning never advanced. You died in a boss fight without using your Estus once. In the episodes up to this that I watched, you used the limited healing resource of Lifegems before you even considered your Estus, despite the fact that Estus restores in usage between bonfires but Lifegems do not. You go Estus-less against bosses. This was just so painful to watch. I'm sorry you had an awful experience with DS2. But, like... Dark Souls 2 is not like this at all.
In defense of Jordy, Estus is hard to use in 2 because of the adaptability skill being tied to how fast you can actually use it.
All right, only took just under 9 minutes, but it happened. Lifegem used despite full Estus in the next item slot
5:11 Did you ever change your build to be 2 handing a weapon instead of dual wielding? Were you still thinking dual wielding was working by this point?
Dear God we finally see the stats and what the hell is that health?? Is this why you've been dying to everything within 4 hits??
Day 8: Lifegems expended. Resources low. Survival now rests entirely upon willpower. I don't know if this journey can be completed...
Feel like the name of these series could be changed to "Sorry, I was distracted, I didn't expect to die while being distracted"
It pains me inside every time you use a Lifegem while at critical health the tiny image of a full Estus in the next item slot
14:09 Nah that's karma, and outstanding timing
5:04 looks like either you full tilt pushed the controller in that direct, or your controller is really weird and took the smallest input in that direction as maximum input in that direction. There's a word for it and I'm struggling to recall
Just noticed there wasn't a silver armored knight resting at the tree in the middle of that colosseum. That must mean this was base DS2, which makes sense. Also glad Jordy was spared attacking that once and dying 50x to it
Since you didn't get confirmation here, and I don't believe you get confirmation later on; there are indeed whips in Dark Souls 2. You can dual wield them and also power stance them. It was a genuinely cool weapon type to use
What's the guiding policy this time around? No hints towards helpful items, suggestions for holding onto certain consumables, etc. I'm wondering how deep this misery hole Jordy fell into got
Welp, I forgot where I left off watching the DS1 adventure, but I heard whispers of what happens in the DS2 journey. Although definitely late to the party, glad to be a witness
Dark Souls 2 is the best dark souls.
You're welcome to enjoy it as your favourite for sure.
Absolute fire
Well the game does a lot of immolating yourself. Thanks for watching!
Absolute trash
I know the game is, but we try anyways. Thanks for watching.
The Pursuer's shield charge is the easiest attack to evade if you know how. Instead of rolling, strafe to his left and get off your combos. Or use the opportunity to heal.
These are already recorded, but we'll get there. Eventually.
If your ADP is low, you can still get caught easily at this level. Bait the charge attack, roll through, and shoot him with the ballista twice for the kill.
If you want a weapon with good reach and the ability to counter shields, the Estoc has both.
Always nice to have tips
I really enjoy you two legend of dragoon journey, hope yall playing adventurous jrpg again
We experimented with the longer episode format for a long form JRPG/Adventure. We do hope to find time for another.
Majula is probably the best hub in the dark souls trilogy. Its just beautiful
Scenic seaside views, a supportive maiden, and nasty jerkass little pig things.
We are back to Suffering 2 : Electric Boogaloo
So much suffering
Ahhh the memories
Keep it up!
We're gonna, don't you worry.
Cool intro, loved it!
Glad you enjoyed!
nice episode ;>
Thanks for watching!

Gasp! Forbidden Memories?! 0:59
Indeed. I played way too much of that game as a kid. I know I managed to beat it at least once.
no matter what is one of my favorite songs to duel to!
And we'll trust our fate to the Heart of the Cards!
Joey really got pushed over in this game the mc basically Joey if he did lose for plot reasons
Yeah, it does feel a shame that Joey was denied the chance to truly become King of Games himself, a 'True Duelist' as it were.
Howdy.
Heyo! Thanks for watching.
Yu gi oh ps1 is great too
Ahh Forbidden Memories, my old flame. Both in terms of loving it and wanting to set it on fire.
Beautiful memeories here.
Memory of memes, but honestly the narm of this game is a big part of its charm.
Hey what is your guys favorite cards in yugioh mine is masked heroes
Jordan has been a longtime Lightsworn fanboy, but more currently plays Dragonmaids. Jordy is big on Gladiator Beasts.
Hello, Jordy here. My all time single favourite card is Chaos Sorcerer.
I hope you guys play reshef
It's in the cards, though not right away.
How are y’all playing this?
Honestly, the Visual quality could be a bit better, but Boy did this system Advance what portable games could be.
Hello you guys new
Nice
We're having a great time, thanks for watching!
Oh the cost is based on how good and easy to use so high attack level 4 or lower are easier to use then 7 star beat stick
@@ianlauer9283 Yes, I noticed as I was doing some grinding that the cost got incremental for each 100 atk/def the monster had, though the cost was the same for a 1600atk monster as a 1600ft monster with only say 800 atk; always based on the highest stat that monster. Funnily this made JIrai Gumo the most expensive card in the game.
We need a prequel that takes place in the deagon campaign
It is a shame we never got a prequel/sequel, but at least the story of this one is pretty complete by itself.
Ahhh the game with my favorite ost and the best menu music ever
I have loved all the moments when Jordy has remarked about digging the music.
Will you two play shadow madness from ps1? Would like you two commentary about that game
Thanks for watching! I haven't heard of that game but we can have a look.
@@jordansquared please reconsider!
Who's Steve jobs?
Ligma balls
Is this where he gained the need to announce whenever he collects....dung, to put it mildly? He does this often in monster hunter so curious if this was the start.
I warned you indeed
Yes yes, rub it in why don't you.
You need the beryl circlet from the secret room near the opening.
Not sure if I actually do go back and get it at this point, but I think we manage well enough.
Have you not figured out any special attacks? This is the point in the game where it gets really hard if you don't find at least one or two of the less obvious powers you have access to. Just jumping and attacking in the inverted clock tower is a recipe for frustration.
I had figured out a couple of the spells but I kept forgetting they were in my arsenal of options. Easy thing to do when the frustration level is tilting that high. Ultimately a moot point though.
Poison mist through the area. Way safer and you can still activate the switches. Shield rod is too slow to attack around here.
extended mist form was earlier and missed (heh) while poison mist is much later
Didn't have that option at the time, but we still got through it in the end.
I do eventually find poison mist yeah, but like... not before most things I could kill with it are already dead@@henzukaya9802
Lol 69 subs, hope y'alls channel does great!
We're coming up on our one year anniversary actually. Was hoping to hit 100, but 69 is pretty nice.
Noiiice!
What's even funnier is thinking back on how in the upright Clocktower I used salt to turn the gear into position.
fantastic!!
Because who needs gravity to make sense.
