First tour of the newest project, giving this '74 Mack a last chance. Is it beyond repair, or do you think we can give it life again?
You had me until you mentioned Jesus get right buddy
At 236till238 it has one power divider lock the other one is to shut the air off to the front brakes for winter hauling you don't want to have them grab and you go out through sliding because of the front brakes grab first
@@Ethan-w3t that's the front brake limiting valve. I don't think she's actually equipped with one however I do recall guys backing the front brakes off for that very reason.
Did you get any pictures of the truck in its day of working and hauling wood
@@Ethan-w3t unfortunately no. I'm just going off what the previous owner said.
Why the language?😮
It’s a 24 volt system with 4 6volt batteries
The spec sheet from the Mack museum states 12 volt run and 24 volt start which is what we initially assumed but it was converted to a 12 volt system. It wasn't caught on film but the starter was grunting and the cables were getting hot so it may have been stuck half engaged or shorted.
Why does it have four batteries?
RIP rubber duck...
Very nice truck you got there! Can't wait to see it back in it's full glory. Long live the old Mack trucks. To me Convoy was the ultimate trucker's movie. Don't get me wrong, I love Smokey and the Bandit, but that was more of a comedic cat & mouse chasing that happened to have a truck following the action.
back in 70 up to mid 80 in Quebec 54 and 60inch spread was alowed the same ,before the90 if you hauled raw logs you were allowed 20.000 kg on the drive
Very beautiful truck
If you can't get that truck running get off UA-cam 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Greaaaaaaaat
