Your ring of fire is full. Mine is struggling any tips?? I have 3 leaves. Ive chopped off 4. It was a rescue. Already changed the soil and provide 80% humidity .
@@michellecastro2475 honestly this plant was a little tricky for me at first. I keep it under my 15w barrina grow light and it grows really well. I have noticed that if I remove it from that highlight it does not grow and actually drops leaves. It also doesn't like being root bound so I would check the roots and size the pot up if it seems to be too small for the plant. I hope this helps!
@faithandfoliage thank you. I will keep trying. Hopefully I can nurse it back to health and happiness. ❤️
Love the glass pot
I am growing a watermelon plant as well. I am starting to see small leaves coming out. I can't wait to see it grow.
Thats what hermit crabs do 😂❤
So true 🤣
Lol that baby on the background though! 😂 so cute
@@plantedbyjenny lol! He's always there. Thank you!
This is great! I literally have a few different picture lights in my Amazon cart to use as supplemental lighting for a couple of my plants. I was trying to do research on using regular wireless led lighting for plants. I think you just convinced me to try this out ! Thanks girl 🥰 Clearly I commented before watching the complete video lol but you still encouraged me to try it out!
YES! I want to try buying a light off of Amazon and seeing if I can remove the parts to add one in. But I'm excited that I wasn't the only one thinking of this idea!
@ Lol I just ordered a pic light, wireless and rechargeable. I’m going to test it out on one of my plants. If I can remember, I will try to let you know how it works out. I’ve heard that some people can get away with using regular led lighting for some plants. I have natural light coming into the room but not where I’m going to place a couple of my plants. Fingers crossed that it works. Thanks for this video because it forced me to at least try lol.
@@jessicabellone913 it's true! I had under lights in my kitchen and I kept my Maranta under them and it bloomed! I was so shocked. I should I've done some research to see what makes them qualify - besides for being a full spectrum light..I think.
Would be helpful to pin the link of the video😢
loved this!
How is your plant doing now? This is actually what I’m doing to mine.
Any updates?
To have house plants and a 3-year-old Lord have mercy That takes a lot of watching then again the only children around my house were girls natural born devastators.
looks great, thanks for saving a place for your visitors to sleep!
I was wondering about your move and how you guys and the plants were settling in! Thank you for giving us a mini tour and especially for talking about the gospel & the verses you and your son are dwelling on this month/year. SO amazing to hear how you're shepherding his soul!! 🤍
Best of luck with your new plant setup! Loved the memory verse you shared and what you felt God was speaking to you with it.
Thank you! Im trying this now. Mine has never had the verigated look i see online but its is growing fast and has plenty of light. I was confused on what I was doing wrong.
My wet sticks keep rotting when I do this method, pls help :( I even let them cauterize
@@ladyluck92 here two tips I can give you that maybe will help! I've noticed that if the plant is unhealthy and I take wet sticks from it they do rot. I also noticed that if I saturate the medium too much that they rot. You have to find that fine balance of not having them and soaking wet sphagnum moss or perlite and just enough moisture. 🤣 I really only spritz them once every 2 months..
Lovely collection! This gives me PTSD from our last cross county move with tons of plants 😂
@@RT1home thank you! And yes, I don't know that I'll ever do that again.. The first move I just sold almost everything and I think that was the right ide. 😂
Wow your cat is gorgeous 🥰
Hi, I always take a pothos cutting and add it to my other cuttings to help them root faster I even did a side by side twsting of this and the pothos added did make the other cutting root faster.
I think I saw a kitty cat! Thanks for the idea.
@@jessicacook8186 you are correct, he's always there. 🤣 And thank you for watching!
I love my Plowmanii. Been growing her since she was tiny and she likes me a lot more than my Gloriosum. Also Alocasia Zebrina which is amazing even though I live in Arizona !!
@@stephanieyvonne3700 yesss! I love my Plowmanii and will agree, it grows better than my Gloriosum.
Depending on your homes climate sphagnum moss muss can be a real challenge/issue. Yes it might hold moisture well in a pole for some growers but only as long as you can keep the moss evenly moist. If part of the pole dried then the moss does the exact opposite of what it's supposed to do and draws moisture away form the roots drying them out and once wet again it might even aid root rot if you have some dead roots in there.
@@JP-uf9sh you're right in it being a challenge, haha! I do not keep up with watering this moss pole as much because it dries out faster than any of my others because it's by a South window, like right in it.. It's hard to keep it just right. I might have to figure out another medium for this plant!
Omg I love your channel already!!!!!!! You are so wonderful!
Amen 🙏
What about scoring the nodes of the “corked” stems and adding keiki paste, also to the yellowing stem too I’d love to see if that worked You can use rooting hormone on your props to help give future roots a boost. Where do you live? I’m in BC Canada with my indoor/summer outdoor jungle Keep us posted!! Good luck!! ❤
I didn't think about trying keiki paste! 🤦🏼♀️ I've been wanting to try it and that would have been perfect to try out.. I have used rooting powder in the past on my cuttings, but I just never saw an improvement. I live near Dallas, Texas! And thank you!
I love it. Thanks for the fern tip. I have a really hard time keeping mine in good shape. Does this work for succulents?
@@tacuvo this would be a great set up for ferns! I think it could work for succulents, but succulents like to dry out between waterings, so you could always wait a day or two before filling the reservoir up again to let it dry up a bit.
Uffda I feel your pain 😔 my beautiful Thai con seems to be rotting. I actually just repotted it into your mix in hopes that will save it! I recently learned a great tip for pole watering: take a coffee shop plastic cup or those red ones you have, use a thumbtack and poke just a few holes in the bottom, stick it in the top of the pole - **making sure it’s making good contact with the moss** and fill as desired with water!
@@emilyvasilakes3805 Awesome! I mean not about your Thai rotting. 😅 They are prone to rotting because as I've found with mine, it wants to dry out completely before watering again. So it's always playing the game of, am I going to let it dry out so bad that it dies of being underwatered. 🤣 And thank you for the tip about the cup, I've actually never heard of that but it makes so much sense!
The cup process works the best for me, instead of taking all the plants to the shower every week or so, or tipping a water bottle with holes in the cap and splashing water everywhere, I find the cup method the most convenient and clean, I just fill cups every couple/ few days to keep the moss moist and my plants on poles thrive! Also, if you get gnats or anything in the moss from being moist all the time, I add systemic granules to the top vs of the pole mods, under the cup so when I water it distributes the systemic and poof! No pest problem! I use plastic back poles too so I’m not watering constantly
They’re going to be fighting for room in the container as they mature and the leafs won’t be as large the longer it goes on.
Hello Dear, I saw your UA-cam channel video and understood it was Very nice. I want to be a regular viewer of your channel. But your channel has something, I want to show the problems.
what's this plant looking like now? I can't tell if mine is better off crawling or climbing. Did you keep letting it climb?
@@nikolass3451 it's doing great! I've propagated it several times actually because it's a quick grower. It's for sure a climber! I haven't put it on a moss pole, but it hasn't needed one in order to size up or grow faster.
Ooooh nice! U have great plants!
Regular spiders don't have Regular patterns .I have tons of spiders in my plants that is why I know this and if it's humid in the office it's less likely mites
How about international travel for example traveling from Philippines to usa with plants
@@jobertviva2503 Depending on where you're flying from, certain plants won't be allowed. But I've seen lots of people take plants in international flights back to the US. I would check your flight rules for any plants not allowed. I do know that you would have to bring them back without any soil on the roots!
This is great. Thank you!!
These little grow lights are great! With them, you can grow anything in any dark, lifeless corner. I have more than one. 😊
@@remaeburney832 they really are awesome little lights! I have so many of them now. 🤣
Bo bo!!!!
Wow, where did you get those drain trays, I have never seen those before.
