I have had this Advent Calendar (as yet unopened) in my possession since 2022. I was excited to get it and I have not regretted buying it at all. I have watched many UA-camrs open this box. I think your video is an honest and fair assessment and I enjoyed watching it

The glowing gold energy at the end reminded me of the huon energy in the Runaway Bride. Not sure what that means, but that's definitely where my mind went.

Appreciate the animated reconstructions, but the quality of the recent ones have been poor. The earlier stuff Invasion, Moonbase & Tenth Planet was so much better with more shading, shadows & style, even the movement was better- these seem amateurish in comparison.

I really like whatever animation is it. The faces are great (maybe not the doctor's as much), and the set looks nice too. I'll definitely be picking this one up!

This might be far fetched but what if the ones in the sea are fighting for the same space after locating it and surviving the doctors accounter like along with the sea devils and fish people what if it also includes other creatures that have lived in water like that whale from thin ice, lochness monster and the kroll but then as they realise there’s people and creatures on land for the same thing they settle there differences to team up to fight the land creatures.

Personally I'm in no hurry to see the next series of Doctor Who. I'm a patient person and I'm sure I will enjoy it when it comes on. I'm not going to get involved in a debate because I couldn't care less. I buy the new stuff but I prefer classic Who. I wish they would carry on naming series and not seasons. Seasons belong to Classic Who not to modern Who.

In terms of numbers of stories left to animate: -Season 1: One Story, Marco Polo -Season 2: One Story, The Crusade (However, this clearly isn't a priority for the BBC, as the released the Collection set without it) -Season 3: Three Stories, The Myth Makers & The Daleks' Master Plan & The Massacre (& potentially Mission to the Unknown. But there is already a live-action recreation) -Season 4: Two Stories, The Smugglers & The Highlanders -Season 5: One Story, The Wheel in Space -Season 6: One Story, The Space Pirates Total: 9 (+1) With 3 stories left to animated in season 3 (or 4 if they replace the live-action version of MTTU), it seems like they are ramping up to do the daleks master plan, and then a season 3 collection box. I mean we've now had 2 season 3 stories, in a row.

Always great to see another Hartnell story animated, but I don’t understand why they don’t do The Space Pirates, then Season 6 is all good to go for a Collection box set. season 3 will also need The Myth Makers done in addition to Mission to the Unknown/Daleks Masterplan. It still irks me that The Crusade didn’t get an animation.

As a somewhat loyal collector of the DVD range, I'm always worried that they'll suddenly stop in favour of the collections. Im very glad a 3-disc DVD is also due.

do they normally show these at the BFI? if so, will you likely be going? i’ve never been before but would love to.

I'd rather they rest the show until they could find a brand new entire producton team and go back to a producer and script editor RTD obviously doesnt know whats going on and is losing confidence in his writing.

Easter Saturday (often a launch time for RTD1).Next year Easter Saturday is April 19. Which would be sooner.

RTD is an amazing guy in the Dr. Who world.

I could understand wanting it in January but then there's basically a year wait until a new episode. Would it make the Christmas special feel less like a special? I genuinely prefer April. I also prefer the episodes to be at least 50 minutes but that seems unlikely

It will be March because they can’t air it in January/February because that’s when the new Series of Call the Midwife and Death In Paradise starts The BBC doesn’t want to Air all the Slate of new series all in one go

The thing is, if Disney don't want to air it at the same time as another "geek" show (which they tend to try and avoid) then there's no obvious gap in the schedule. You've got Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man from January 29th, Daredevil: Born Again starting on March 4th, Andor starting April 22nd, Ironheart beginning June 24th, Eyes of Wakanda from Aug 6th then Marvel Zombies in October and Wonder Man in December. I could definitely see DW airing Jan-Feb to avoid the really big hitters. My worry is that if it's the same time as Daredevil or Andor (which would be my bet) it's gonna get absolutely buried.

I think while everyone including myself would love a January release the reality is more likely a March/April release 😊 I believe it will be a midnight drop again tho unfortunately much as I hate that. 😢 Maybe an earlier release date means a quicker decision from Disney and we and they can move forward from there. If no then hopefully getting a budget from the BBC for the next season or finding other sources 😊

I get attacked when I say this but in all probability Disney signalled it wouldn't be financing a new season in July. Disney+ just doesn't like renewing non-comedy scripted live action beyond a second season. The only time it's happened was for The Mandalorian. Only two shows in that category other than Doctor Who have had more than 16 episodes so far.

It's conceivable that very late February or early March could be achieved. I definitely think January is off the cards because something would have leaked from a publicity partner.

I hope you're right and they will announce premiere for the cold beginning of next year, january would be great, but also february and march would work as well. I was honestly very surprised by late spring/ summer release of season 1, of course I know it was delayed like you said in video but if I was BBC I'd move it to colder months later in the year. Imagine how nice would be to wstch 73 yards in the cold rainy evening for the first time. Also I hope they will stick to the same release time as the Xmas special and have it simultanously everywhere

i bet you the bbc changed their release window to help disney finalise their decision unless they already locked in one

A January release would be AMAZING but I think that is very unlikely, I'm thinking March or April hopefully March, the sooner the better honestly and I do remember the Disney leak that happened earlier this year which mentioned that Season 2 will start on March 28/29th, which I think would be pretty perfect! And the sooner this series goes out the sooner Disney can make their renewal decision and the sooner Season 3 can start production!

I’m looking forward to special. I reckon with the doctor meeting himself and it being Christmas. It’s probably some play on the past, present, future. (Probably a hidden refrence in a way to the Christmas Carol)
