The white man oppresser terrible trainer
It’s a pain at first
She didn't use 3 points of contract on her way out, just hoped out. Could have fallen flat on her face. Unsafe/automatic fail state test.
Why does he keep saying hard right when it's left...
Wheres the tandems??
That truck does not have tandems, it is a single axle, the rear wheels on that truck are referred to as duals- dual wheels. Tandem axles are trucks with two axles or trailers with two axles. Dump truck or logging truck with three axles is called tri-axle, dump truck or logging truck with four axles is called quad Axle. She did a nice job backing a very tight spot.
Delete this video, thats a hard left!
Not going to delete the video, but yes, I know it’s a hard left. Why did I say right? I have no idea. Thank you for watching.
Curious where you guys are today and how it worked out for you.
I do this blindside into crappy driveways from narrow streets without even stopping to think. Just second nature.
Looks very familiar - My trainer insists on me doing this at night because most of my runs will be at night and I’ve never driven anything bigger than a small van - thanks for the video ❤
Nice
This parking is very easy for me.hehehehe.even in my first attempt when I get my license.when I park perfect in first attempt the officer told me.thats enough no need the other parking
Too easy for me. Gonna get dz licance
This is why you should let your ego go smh
I can hear my Instructor now screaming, THREE POINT TOUCH EXIT! UP AND DOWN GIMMIE 100!!
Great video man !!
Were those air brakes beeping nonstop ?
On my second day. Just stay patient folks. It is different from the sprinters by a lot lol. Docks are not even usually..... Those bumpers are great . Great video
Lol
My dreams someday
They have back up cameras on a Prius why not on these!?
They do, and from experience I drive a Ford focus with a back up camera as my daily driver and drive a truck like this 5 days a week for work the back up camera on these bigger guys are only really helpful once you are stright and to figure out how close to the dock you are. Mirrors and your own eyes are your best friend, beats a camera almost anyday. Also we frequently drive in highways and snowy roads in winter so the camera is covered, so sure the vehicle has one but if it's all you rely on how are you going to get by if it's unavailable from time to time.
if you need a backup camera to back up, you shouldn't be driving because it shows you have zero awareness of where your vehicle is in relation to obstacles.
How can you not drive a 26ft box truck 🥴 I back tractor trailer in like nothing
This was her first experience driving a truck. She drove a 15 passenger van in the past, this was the largest vehicle she had ever driven. I believe she did extremely well here.
I drive both, to me it's harder backing a 26 straight truck than a 53 semi
Buddy you belong in the front of the truck! She can see to China in that drivers side mirror! Guide from the front passenger side
The easiest way is to Aim the driver side corner CLOSER to the driver side boundary. Give yourself the extra space on the blind side.
How are you aiming for it I tried that and end up drifting out the course from the blind side because I kept paying attention to the driver side mirror
Thank you
I m taking this road test soon This really helpful I suck at backing up
I’m sure you will do well. Slow and easy. Always know what’s behind you and keep an eye on the front of the truck too, especially when turning to ensure your truck is clear of any obstacles. Don’t forget “GOAL”, Get Out And Look. Don’t know how that will apply to your test, but, in real life, better safe than sorry. Good luck.
Same here testing for class b cdl have to get a better handle on my 90 degree backing up. I'm trying to find a good video with tips
What kind of truck is that and did you use that for the full cdl test?
26 foot if I remember right. Automatic transmission. I don’t remember if it had air brakes. Carrie did not use this truck for her CDL training. West Michigan CDL has an automatic with air brakes that she used.
@@michaelsanborn8571 Off course it had air breaks. You can hear it.
@@alexcruz7719 you are correct Alex, you can hear the air brakes. It’s been awhile so I really couldn’t remember. Good catch. Thanks.
@@michaelsanborn8571 No prob, Sr. I'am sure you had more things to do when you posted that than me when I was watching it.
So was this for the class C test? Or B?
How do you back up a gay truck?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey guys, have missed seeing your updates! Are you out on the road yet? How are things going? Hope you are both well!
if I drive straight truck can I upgrade to CDL a trucks ?
Yep I upgraded to A. Trailer is a whole different beast.
She must have been much more relaxed with you then an instructor since she’s your wife. I hope when I try I’ll be able to get it as fast as she did.
except he doesn't know the difference between left and right
Are you expediting?
Everything Apax Yes, we have been with FedEx Custom Critical since September. Been a big adjustment for us. Thought I would have more time to post videos but time just gets away from us out here.
@@michaelsanborn8571 good luck.
Hey Mike, How about an update lease? Did the wife and you end up in Expediting. I thought you be at Fed Ex and HyField Trucking by now. I pray you haven’t had a setback. If you like to email me at mcanning51@gmail.com I would love to hear from Y’all. Thanks and God Bless.
I dont know how American's have hard time parking straight trucks. They park semi's a lot faster and better but straight trucks are a lot easier.
ludi miloje This was my wife’s first time driving a straight truck. Her first experience driving anything larger than a passenger van. The reason I recorded it was to show her how she was doing. I posted on UA-cam to share with friends and family. This may give help and encouragement to others. I think she did a great job and she continues to do so in our new careers. Thank you.
Michael Sanborn - Cross Country Expediters exactly, everyones an expert on youtube, referring to the commenter above.
The app CDL Prep works great for studying because it repeats the questions for reinforcement or till you get the correct answer. The website www.cristcdl.com gives you the test then tells you the percent correct so that you can gauge when you are ready to take the real test. The DMV test requires 80% correct. Also, in IL we have to get our fingerprints and background check done in order to take the test. $80 cost.
Terrible instructor. Goals? No one does this unless it's tight parking with objects around.
No one will get out an look? Interesting comment. I see it quite often, we do it quite often. Always best to be safe.
@@michaelsanborn8571 ur not going to do it all the time especially in that situation.
Whatis What - Get Out And Look, that way you don't become complacent. This is called training. Not everything you are taught in life, you will end up using, but it is good to know.
Dumbass its her responsibility not him LOL
I'm sure you're real nice guy but not for nothing or you're not talkin about anything I need to know I applaud you a Pat in the back but you took 6 minutes out of my life that I'll never get back so this is why I bothered to even write this
I'm curious exactly what were you looking for at this time?
Hello!! I can't tell you both how happy we were to find your channel!! We are looking into the expediting as well and have watched countless UA-cam videos. My husband is in tookand die and wants out badly! He has his class A cdl. I have driven school bus for years but dropped my cdl just last year because I thought that I found a full time job that I could retire from. Unfortunately after 4 years my coworker turned on me and it became a very hostile work environment! I walked out thinking that I would have a job immediately. Unfortunately here I am 5 months later, still unemployed. I am going to take my school bus classes again and finish out the year driving bus but we are going to work on our hazmat endorsements and everything else we need for expediting. I have been so concerned with the exact same thing as Carrie!! My parents, and my grandkids. I love the girls so much and we are very close. I love your idea of a UA-cam channel so they can see your adventures!! We will e following all of yours to see how things go. I was also concerned about being 57 years old and starting this new adventure!! I hope I can handle. In good health but overweight. Thanks for sharing your video!! Kim & Jim Shaw
Congratulations Michael on passing the X endorsement. Been there, done ✅ that. I’m sure your Wife did fine. Take care & Be safe on the road. Mike in South Texas
Congratulations Carrie on attaining your CDL License. Thanks Michael for starting this channel on your new Expediting Career. By now you are probable already with FedEx Custom Logistics Team. The wife is on a similar journey as Carrie working to obtain her CDL-B License. We also are planning on entering the Expediting arena. Currently I am ready with all the needed credentials just supporting Wife to earn hers. Frank and Stephanie as well as Heather & Jason have been quite helpful with their video series to encourage us to dive in. Just so you know my wife Anna has similar concerns as Carrie. I wish you both all the best with y’all new career and hope to join you in the future. Best of luck and God Bless. Mike in Texas.
It was great to meet you at the Expo, hopefully we'll see you out here on the road sometime!
Nice to see your journey continue. What’s up?? We’ve been out a week now and are LOVIN IT!!
Hi Deena. So good to hear. We are scheduled to attend orientation the week of September 9th. Looking forward to it. Excited to get out there.
Michael Sanborn - Cross Country Expediters -so glad to hear! Maybe we will cross paths out here! Be safe and keep posting videos!
Hey!! How goes it?? Good seeing you at the expo!! Any updates on your expeditor journey??
Hi guys. We are scheduled to attend orientation for FedEx custom Critical on September 9th. Glad to see things are going well for you. We're excited to get started.
@@michaelsanborn8571 that's awesome!! Can't wait to see you guys out here!!
This help with my up coming test .
Good info! In Ca you can only skip 3 questions at a time. We studied with the DMV handbook and maaaannnyyy online practice tests. Helped immensely
Amazing how different the tests can be from state to state. We are both still waiting for our licenses to come in the mail. As soon as we get them we can get our applications submitted to drive.
Michael Sanborn - Cross Country Expediters - that waiting is the hardest part! James stalked the Postal carrier for a week till they came. Fortunately, even with the July 4th holiday we got ours in 7 business days. Hoping they come soon for you guys. I’ll PM you our application process so you can know what to expect
@@deenamitchell8037 thanks Deena, I'd really appreciate it. Just checked the mail today, no licenses. ☹
Hey Michael, my husband and I passed our tests today! Now just waiting for it to come in the mail. Thought I’d let you know!
Congratulations!!! That's exciting!!
Hey Michael, my husband and I passed our tests today! Now just waiting for it to come in the mail. Thought I’d let you know!
Great job Deena. Carrie is scheduled to go next week for testing.
Really like your idea of putting out videos of your process, into expediting, from the beginning. Hubby and I are class A team drivers and are starting the process to switch over to expediting. Best of luck to you both and keep the videos coming.
Thank you the positive feedback. Good luck to you both on this transition. We are excited but nervous at the same time. It's a big move for us. Be safe out there!
Again, thanks for the information. My wife and I also will be attending the Expo. We live in Claxton, Ga. I look forward to possibly meeting you and your wife. My wife is still a little apprehensive.
Hi Tony. So good to hear you both will be able to attend the expo. Would love to meet up and talk about expediting. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn right across the street from the convention center.
Great breakdown. Yes it seems every state could be different. California fees and process is completely different. Hopefully you get that TWIC appt soon. Cheers,
Thanks for the feedback Deena.
Congratulations on getting your international passport...👍🏻
Thanks for the info. Hoping to get into expediting in 2-3 years, when our youngest is out of school.
I understand exactly where you are at. We needed to wait until our kids were set as well. Everyone's circumstances will be different. I started looking into expediting over 12 years ago!
