Collimate so that primary beam does not miss the cassette and is limited to the region of the foot. Never include the lower leg in the primary beam.

All radiation missing the cassette is dose for no reason except for following the 100 year old instructions. If I did these projections, the lead would only be needed to prevent scatter radiation affecting the other image. You use it to prevent primary beam radiation. That is not the way radiography should be practiced in these advanced times. Minimise dose. Give up following the old instructions that were devised long before the development of the light beam diaphragm

You follow the centring point method which increases radiation dose. This is clearly seen at 8.32 where you centre on the patella even though that exposes a lot of the table to radiation and the lower third of the femur. I would collimate to 1/4th of the area you expose.

Whenever primary beam radiation misses the cassette it means the wrong tube angle has been used. I would collimate so only the calcaneum and the surrounding bones are included in the primary beam. The axial projection shown includes the lower leg in the primary beam.
