This is absolutely delightful. How delightful it might have been if Bruce could have piggy-backed Dang Thai Son into Houston with him for a few duets. That would have meant two Chopin winners for the price of one. Who could argue with or beat that?
I just came back from the extraordinary performance of Bruce Liu with New York Philharmonic. His absolutely beautiful piano is still resonating in my heart. What a special gift - we could all admire his fantastic "La Campanella'' . But my dream is getting bigger after I saw this video. I'd love to admire this duet sometime soon in the future!!!

Chopin composed this piece when he was about 14 years old. Nice to hear the two chopin masters play this piece that is not so often played.
The beginning and end are reconstructions ie not authentic Chopin.

Je crois que tu a raison. J'ai la partition ici chez moi, édition PWM, et dit simplement "Variationen D-Dur" ou Variations en Re Majore.
