I was a silversmith for many years. I did more repairs than I will ever be able to number. The one thing I refused to do was to rework a signature piece made by another Smith. When an artist signs their work it is no different than if they signed a painting. It's a little piece of that artist's soul being shared with the world. Would you change a Monet to better suit Your vision? Would you take a chisel to the statue of David? That may seem like extreme examples but, it's literally the same thing. Regardless of your repair skills, if you alter someone else's work, you're not only devaluing that piece, you're also disrespecting the original artist. FYI, in the event the signature is registered, especially with tribal recognition, you could be setting yourself up for major fines and some nasty reputation hits.
@@daniellewhite3534 I personally know the smith who made this ring and their signature is neither trademarked nor are they Native American. I, however, am a Native American artist and happen to be fully aware of the consequences of misrepresenting my work. It still bears the original makers hallmark with no further alterations from me, nor did I claim the work as my own. Art is subjective. If the Mona Lisa had a severely damaged frame that made it dangerous to transport or handle, it would be replaced and the same concept applies here. I changed nothing of the original design or finish of the piece, thus not diminishing its "aura" or disrespecting the original creator in any way. It actually reflects poorly on me if I sell a piece of jewelry in need of repair Thanks for the input though 👍
can you tell me how to process works when getting into the fountain auction
@@Mzjanedoe..3005 if you mean as a bidder just show up with ID and sign up at the office for a bidders card. When you win a bid, you can pay for your vehicle as soon as they process the paperwork and they'll issue you a 60 day tag to drive it away on. There will be a small fee plus state sales tax so prepare for that too. If you mean as a buyer, you give them a call and bring your vehicle up or they might be able to tow it. They charge a small percentage of whatever the vehicle sells for and write you a check for the rest

I would like to share this. I have a 2000 chevy s 10. The dreaded door hinge. A guy 2 years ago fixed his door and it works great. Heres what he did. Buy a door hinge kit and take that kit to a machine shop. Have the bushings made out of quality steel. Brass bushing break in an egg shaped hole and just fall apart. @@dennisfreeman774 is it cranking but not sounding like it's trying to get spark or no crank at all? If the starter is turning over fine, then you need to check for spark and fuel/air. Remove the air filter and spray some starting fluid while you're trying to start it. If it'll kinda stay running on the fluid it's probably your fuel system still. If it won't even crank and try to idle on the starting fluid then start looking at your ignition system or maybe injectors

So glad to have found this channel; bought a 1988 S15 Jimmy 2.8L about 9 months ago and while I love it to death, definitely had some issues with it, most notably with the electrical system; since February I've had to have it jumped several times and the battery replaced at least once. Also the stock radio in it died about a week before these problems started happening. Are there any known electrical issues with that model? The garages I've taken it to have suspected things ranging from loose battery connections, to a faulty battery, to a parasitic draw coming from somewhere, but no one has been able to get to the bottom of the issue so far it seems.
