Dropshot with a chunk like a bluegill or sunfish works. Yes, bass will eat bluegill or sunfish chunks. Ive caught bass on sunfish and bluegill chunks. 😊

I only stay in a spot 10 minutes then move if no bites. If after the 3rd attempt moving with no bites I'll change lures and rigs. Then I start catching fish ill go back to spots with new lure or rig to see if I get redemption using new lure or rig.

I live in California and I fish the Hensley and Eastman lakes. It’s a hit or miss there, our main bait is chicken liver that’s what really bites but definitely gonna try to chum up the area w the carp/catfish bait

I used chicken gizzards the other day out at a farm pond in Iowa and It really worked out well i caught a bullhead on the chicken gizzards

I disagree punch bait and dip baits are very productive to me. I've caught limits with these baits, and so have alot of other people, and as far as the scents smelling bad you get used to the smell and punch bait can be stored anywhere for years and it will still be good. And plus, if I'm catfishing, I'm keeping 99 percent of the time . Plus you can use punch bait with a circle hook all you have to do is make bait bags out of bait netting or panty hose and put the bags on circle hooks.

You definitely chose a good spot to fish that day. When you have that much action at once were you have to be in two places at once is fun. Be blessed. My friend.

You need to lower a net for these, they can grow to very large sizes and when you hook one of those you will end up just injuring the fish

I totally agree with you. I used tink n Bait as a kid. But couldn't stand the smell and girls really hated it also. I started using cut bait and live bait since i was a teenger and now I'm in my 60s that what i still use. The wife would kill me if i used stink bait. Be blessed. My friend.

I've occasionally caught smaller flatheads on dough baits, but always right after spawn ends and only when bumping along the bottom.

Perspective from a guy who has been catfishing for 55+years. 1) When you are using those store bought baits go to the dollar tree, Walmart, etc and buy some knee highs or womens hose. Cut off pieces, wrap your bait in those pieces and wrap a piece of line around it to keep it from unraveling. Hook it, and fish. Its like a miniature chum bag. And you can fish the little bag of chum on a single hook. I would NEVER use a treble hook to catch any fish. 2) I've used kitchen sponges cut into pieces and soaked overnight in bait scents or ready made baits like those you had. 3) Soap, especially Ivory. It has a high fat content and it floats up off the bottom. If you warm it up it gets soft and pliable and stays on the hook nicely. 4) You can do the same trick as number one to keep chicken livers on the hook. You can also soak your chicken livers in flavorings overnight. Maple, vanilla, and anise work best for me. Not trying to steal your thunder, just adding my 2 cents. When I was younger I was pretty poor and tried to find ways to catch fish and make my bait last longer and be more productive.

Of course, if there's heavy current, a 1/4 oz bullet weight helps senko sink.

Using a 1.5 inch bobber then make the leader 16 inches. Put a smaller split shot at the 8 inch mark tie a fly on then put trophy bass on by procure. Catch nice bluegill or sunfish for catfish fish. 🙂

When it comes to fishing for catfish is deeper better?

You are all over the place with mixing stuff for catfish. A catfish can smell every scent you mix in, so if you did catch anything, what do you suppose was the scent that attracted them? Simply buy porkchops and mix extracted fish oil in it and let it set overnight. Catfish are attracted to color and scent, and the mixture is no color of fish that they eat, nor the smell, except the fish, that you did mix in. You will get mostly little fish on bait such as this, but it is rare you ever catch big cats on baits such as this. Extracted fish oil is your friend. Cut up porkchops into bait size, soak it in fish oil, then you will see the difference in the size and number of cats you will catch. Try, then update this video. It will be money and time well spent.
