This was mad funny 😂😂😂
Thanks Michael :)
No comments Lemme change that 😊
😭😭 Good one
I really had this doubt bugging me for long.... but not now... amazing transitions BTW
I'm 5mins in but thought i'd drop this comment so appologies if you already mention it in the rest of the video haha. Your videos are x10 more production quality and professional so you kinda loose time when you put this much time and effort. Which is fine but maybe doing some more lower production stuff like one shots like this and walk and talks or even answering the public might be more profitable. Again if you analise your channel and what videos worked the best then make more of those then people go back for the same stuff. Remember when i met bald and bankrupt guy he was telling me that my cinematic vlogs that require days to edit wont go viral but he just grabs a camera and talks shit and gets millions of views. If you have intresting and potential controversial and viral topics that are appealable to the masses and you work on your delivery like bald and bankrupt or tate or whatever then you can save time in post production and put more out ect ect. If its not working you should try something different for a while because doing the same stuff again and not getting the result is probably related to how you perceive yourself rather than whats effective. I am also guilty of this.. its like i know what works and what people want but i still do something that i prefer rather than just giving the people what they want. You probably already thought of this as your a professional through and through and like to be self critical. I think you can deffo simplify a bit more and something will eventually work but also remembering that its not suppost to be fun. Theres a point with any project where your in the trenches and you have to just keep going, be critical, analise and try new things but NEVER stop the consistency. Intresting topics
hard work always goes rewarded by the universe at somepoint.
ps your delivery to camera is now basically like talking to you in person so big up
Do you use a teleprompter in 2025 ? What is your long term review ?
Yeah I still use it. At the moment I'm trying to improve my ability to improv when speaking to camera, so I've recently been working from rough bullet points rather than a fully scripted video (also cause fully scripting a YT video just takes way longer). But I still use it for every UA-cam video intro that I do.
4:41 nah bro It wasn't VFX🙃
Sitting at 16 sub let’s goo
Good luck 🤞
Interesting talk, keep it up my dude! 👊
Will do. Thanks Adam 😊
Good luck man. Keep it up.
Thank you :)
Great insight! Another italian here, from London, and about to turn my UA-cam portfolio channel into a personal one. Wish me luck
Good Luck with it all 🔥
@@HeyAdamGrasso And by the way, killer videos. All of them. Really well done and don't give up!
Thanks for the encouragement. Especially being such a small channel it really means a lot 😊
...and version 4 no longer integrates with Resolve... bummer
Yeah it’s annoying. What’s weird is it’s still there as an option in the deliver page, but it just never seems to work for me 😭
Hi, just a randomly quick question: in which time zone are you in?..
That is indeed a very random question 😂
Hey if you don't mind can you share your Notion Template with me? :)
Hey. Can you remind me which Notion Template you'd like?
@@HeyAdamGrasso template that you use to track your film production
u both r adorable 🥰
Sensational Video!!! I love the idea of just dragging in your notes from Notion. May I ask, how do you "control" your script when using Notion? Do you just use the scroll wheel on your mouse, or do you do something different?
Thank you 😊 Yeah I just read a bullet point paragraph, then I scroll down with my Macbook trackpad to the next point. Though to be honest, with the introduction of the' voice sync' feature in the Elgato Prompter app, I've just been using that to auto scroll my scripts. It works super well!
@@HeyAdamGrasso I appreciate you getting back to me. BTW, Your editing skills are tremendous.
No worries at all. And thanks a lot for the compliment. Especially being a smaller channel, feedback like this really helps to keep me encouraged and to keep posting.
Thanks for sharing Adam. Some interesting insights. Cheers.
No worries. Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Davinci does have refine tools, this is a year later so i imagine you figured this out but yeah theyre there bud.
Are you referring to the 'Refine Range' slider for the magic mask tool?
Can I pull up a slide presentation or a PDF for a Zoom meeting and read a screen of text/script over top (with maybe a reduction in opacity) to read the script while delivering the presentation?
@@EPHONIC You can add the pdf window on the prompter but I don’t think you could see the Zoom participants at the same time. Then again, you could just arrange your windows like a split screen so you can see and read both at the same time.
Can you recommend software to use with the Elgato prompter and Facecam Pro that is from a reputable 3rd party, so that it can be read as an overlay while looking into the Facecam Pro? Thanks in advance.
Technically, you can use any website or desktop app for a 3rd party teleprompter, because the prompter can act as a secondary display for your computer.
excellent video thank you
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Stabil looks very promising. I wonder how it works like with heavier setups like Sony FX6 on a gimbal
No worries 😊 You'd have to check the weight capacity for your specific rig, but I'm sure you could find a set-up that works with it.
I noticed you barely have views but your content and editing is super interesting. I wonder what gives.
Thanks for the kind words 😊 guess I’ve just gotta keep at it and hopefully the views will slowly come.
Like wetransfer, Frame io needs a way to let us know when clients have DOWNLOADED deliverables!

nice video. Do you consider make a more detailed one?
Perhaps, but Frame's own site already have some pretty detailed tutorials on there
All these struggles are so relatable. It feels good to find people who share the same. I only have one suggestion though: "Can you put the name of the struggles in the Timestamp so that it's easy to navigate?" Thank you♥
Thanks 😊 Yeah it's crazy how so many of us are going through the same struggles and journey, but we just don't know other creative freelancers in our communities, hence why many of us feel isolated and lonely. Hopefully I can help people a little by releasing more content like this. As for your timestamp recommendation, I purposefully made it a numbered list because if I put the titles, people tend to skip around to ones that sound good vs being curious for all the of the numbers. But I'll keep your suggestion in mind for future videos 🙌
@@HeyAdamGrasso Great to hear that. I needed title to navigate and also to note down so I needed a heading.
whaaat, are you Hungarian like me?
I’m British but I spend a lot of time in Hungary. 🇭🇺
@@HeyAdamGrasso my condolences..I left to live in Switzerland in 2012
@@_rhapsodist 😂 Budapest ain't that bad. I guess if you're from here, it's a different feeling and not as interesting and new as it is for me. But every country has it's pros and cons.
I'm really glad I watched your video, you have a really great style👍
I'm glad you liked it 😊
#2 is so real. Starting out I've been ghosted several times and it hurt me so bad to the point that it had me question if this was the career path for me and whether I was good enough for it. Funnily enough, after I picked myself up and found clients that wanted to work with me, a client that ghosted me came back around 2 months later! I learned that rejections and ghosting is never personal and people have their own reasons to do so. Yet, we always make up some narrative in our heads that they do it because we're awful at our jobs or deemed unvaluable, when it's really rarely the case.
Hey Ania 😊 100% agreed that creative freelancers take ghosting and rejections more personally than we should. We’re already in a somewhat vulnerable position by choosing such an unconventional career path. So, anything that challenges the dream of making a living this way naturally makes us question whether we’re truly good enough to succeed. But like you said, oftentimes it's not personal and if you keep searching for more clients you'll eventually find the ones who are eager to collaborate with you. And if you send a few follow ups to previous clients, you'll often get responses back from them, but by then you'll likely be too busy to even take them on 😂
Subscribe because of this video! Keep them coming
Thanks 😊
I need help with a big problem. I have the Elgato Prompter, Facecam Pro4K60fps, the Elgato Streamdeck plus and I cannot find a way to be able to read from the prompter or even access it from either Zoom or StreamYard. I have the wavelink software and the camera hub installed, but nothing helps and I cannot find any UA-cam videos that tell me how to put this all together and make it work. Thanks in advance.
Do you think the combo Minimax Stabil + DJI RS4 pro would handle a Canon C500mk2 + 1.5 kg lens + lidar with and lens motor ?
tf is this list
bro you're super underrated
Thanks bro. That means a lot 😊
I agree, great transitions!
At 7:09 in...what is that sitting above the teleprompter?
A Small HD Indie 7 camera monitor. If that's what you're referring to.
What software is good for working with the text/scripts it shows?
The Elgato prompter has it's own app called 'Camera Hub' that's great :)
Hi, Great and informative video! Im currently having elgato prompter and using it with mirrorless camera. I mount the prompter directly to the lense. I have no issue when recording in landscape (horizontal), the prompter cannot be seen in the frame. But Im having a problem when i use the camera in portrait mode (vertical), the prompter appear in my recording frame. My current lense is sony e 15mm f1.4. Can you please advice on how to solve this? Thanks and will appreciate your guidance.
You'd have to rotate the prompter in the same way that you're rotating your camera, into a vertical setup.
@@HeyAdamGrasso Thank you for your suggestion. It did solve my problem. It does look "not normal" but gladly it works!

It’s crazy! I tested out the beta version and honestly it was a little bit buggy for me, but I haven’t used the official release yet. Hopefully it’s better now 🤞
that was very well put together and also you could feel the authenticity of you and your content, just discovered you, new sub, keep killing it my friend, thinking of starting something myself, not enough genuine creators in the social media space anymore.
Hey V1king, Thanks a lot for the kind words and motivation. UA-cam is one of the most mentally challenging creative things I've done, so comments like these really help a lot when I'm doubting myself and my abilities. Despite how difficult it can sometimes be, I couldn't encourage you enough to start posting content if you're curious about it. You'll build so many valuable skills by being able to talk to a camera whilst sharing your insights or thoughts online. The possibilities are endless for where it can take you in life.
Can I ask why hook attachment to get? I see you have the quick release hook here but is the standard hook okay?
It's called an '16x9 Kong Quick Release Adaptor with 3/8', there a few other brands selling a similar thing that you'll be able to search for too :)
I’ve found a heaps cheaper workaround using my iPad and a GlideGear teleprompter and using sidecar to send a display to it like the Elgato prompter, but your video makes me feel like I should still upgrade for the app and it’s uses. Great review, thanks!
Yeah the Elgato prompter definitely streamlines the whole process of set up and use. You can definitely find a cheaper prompter solution, but if you just wanna pay for something that works and is easy to setup, you can't go wrong with this prompter.
dude lowkey u got a iphone mini ur thumb doesnt have to stretch to do anything that phone is 1.33 thumbs long what did you do this for
I still have to 'shimmy' my hand a little to hit certain parts of the screen. So either it's the same for most people, or I have incredibly small fingers compared to others 😅
I disabled every notification except messages a long time ago. If someone is texting a lot of nonsense, I either talk to them or just mute them so I don't get distracted And I only have a second home screen page for on set related apps, like sun seeker, clapperboard, flightradar, camera and light apps
I haven't got with the fully disabling notifications yet, but it might be interesting to experiment with. Though I forgot to mention in this video that I always have my phone set to, 'do not disturb' mode. So I never get notifications just flashing in front of my face, and if I wanna see them I have to swipe to reveal notification center.
@@HeyAdamGrasso My thinking is that if you want to be on social media, you should do it consciously. Notifications only distract you and often lead to unwanted doomscrolling. 'do not disturb' is also almost always enabled. It gives me a bit more peace of mind
yeah agreed. Obviously it's easier said than done, but at least doing small steps to reduce you chances of doomscrolling or wasting away minutes multiple times a day is a step in the right direction.
@@HeyAdamGrasso exactly! :D
could you actually do a marathon with this setup.. ? hmm could be..
