Great video! But, you really missed out by not going into Comuna 13. When we went to Medellin, it was the highlight of our trip! So vibrant, fun, music playing everywhere, beautiful art, wonderful people… I definitely recommend it for the next time. Just seeing it from the metro cable doesn’t compare.

Hey Scarlet as I was watching your video I noticed that you said that people should watch “Narcos” in order to find more out about Medellin. That is probably the absolute WORST way to find out about Medellin as 1. There aren’t even Colombian actors in that show. 2. It’s historically incorrect and extremely dramatized. As someone who is Colombian, it’s not really considered PC to talk about the era of Pablo Escobar anymore as Colombians have worked very hard to remove the stigma that’s attached to the city and the country as a whole. Colombians do not really talk about this era as it was an extremely traumatic time for people and it’s a dead giveaway when Americans talk about this. There’s a lot more to talk about and learn about instead of the crime, slums and drugs that most people associate with the country. I really encourage you to do your research before misinforming subscribers on your channel about this.
