If anyone is wondering why did they delete it- this happens after the episode called Revelations, the one where Reid is kidnapped and tortured for two days, so let's just say he wasn't as happy and carefree there- they left Emily giving Morgan the book, they just changed Reid's part entiraly.

Eh. Derek is Male Emily and Emily is Female Derek. It's like looking at "twins". They complement each other. It was never gonna go romantic, regardless of Emily being lesbian or not. Though I've always noticed that Derek subtly defers to Emily as the lead, that from the time she joined the team, she was gonna end up the Lead all along. Just a feeling I had way back when I first saw Criminal Minds since 2005. Great show! And very excited for Season 16! Hope more seasons/episodes will be produced thereafter! ♥️

I love this but just watched the ep it was supposed to be in- which is a whole mess cause it's after the two-part kidnapping/drugged episode and yet he immediately goes back to doing cases, no breaks. while this would be out of character, the entire ep was out of character so it doesn't matter
