Cervinski won four NSL titles, two with the Knights and two with the Wolves. In November 2017, he was honoured by presenting the Mark Viduka Medal, given to the player of the match in the FFA Cup. Do these guys realise how hypocritical they are. If you really care and are not just virtue signalling don't go or stfu!
Shutup and put the ball in the back of the net It's not your country so mind your own business
Well done Socceroos. Making us proud. A long line of footballers and others taking a stand in whatever way they can. In 1978 in Argentina under dictatorship, groundskeepers painted "black armbands" on the goal posts as a silent protest against the regime. This statement is the least we could do, but it is more than most.
Could just make statement at all and get on with football or if they really cared just don't go.
WTF? Stay out of politics and play bloody soccer. Stop trying to interfere with another country's politics. This is a pathetic message and it's easy for you to talk about wages when you get paid heaps so shut up and play bloody soccer. This is gonna turn people of watching because of your agenders that have nothing to do with playing sports. As an Australian i am ashamed of this virtue signaling coming from entitled people which you are showing you are.
Even if part of our Australian population would never watch a soccer match, We should all be incredibly proud of both our male and female teams going to Qatar to represent their country. NOT just because they are all brilliant soccer players but they also have a heart and a conscience. When they see injustice like what has been taking place in QATAR, they can and do object and strive to make this a better world. I am a pretty old grandma, but won't miss a game. They don't have to win, but by golly, I know they will do their darndest! They will be proud Aussies and show the rest of the world what we stand for. The hierarchy in Qatar should hang their heads in shame. Trying to outdo the rest of the world and not caring one second about the poor workers who work their butts off to achieve a pittance. It does not warrant any accolades whatsoever as many thousands have died in the process. A shame they won the "Rights" to hold the World Cup in the first place. And as we all know bribery gets you anywhere, which some FIFA commitee members accept as part of the game.. So, our time will come again to sing as loudly as we can, "Come on Aussie, come on"! The Games haven't started yet, but you are all already winners. Bless you!
