what you are referring to at 2:37 and 7:45 is more likely entering Vortex Ring state then NR decay. Generally your NR is going higher due to the low collctive setting , descent and decelerative attitude. Once entered VRS, adding power makes it even worse, so you need to pitch down and gain Airspeed in order to get away without falling to the ground. Keeping an eye on the VSI is key during low speed and descending, especially during the last 100 feet.

A hint: You don't have to move the pipper to the intercept angle of 2.5deg, but you can use that small x which is right there on the net. Else a fine tutorial 👍

Hey man! :D i've got a problem with the Hind. I dont know if anything changed over the years but now I just cant make it take off most of times for the simple fact that it would start spinning all the the left even with yaw control ON... could you help me somehow? Thanks! :)

Nice vid thank you. When I engage the Auto Hover I am still required to input yaw on my pedals? My legs are getting tired having to hold the pedals and I don't remember needing to do this when I used to fly the Gazelle.

In that turnfight around the 7 minute mark, you could have used the takeoff flaps. They automatically deploy only if the airspeed is low enough and go back up when airspeed is higher, since they're spring loaded. You were so close to getting an angle on him that this might have done the trick. Additionally: You have 2 minutes of emergency afterburner use (default "T" on the keyboard). You can extend this to about 4 minutes by switching from automatic to manual nose cone control and setting the dial to ~3.5. This setting also makes it possible to use normal afterburner indefinitely. All this, combined with a light load of 2-4 missiles and no fuel tanks leads to you outturning most F4s if they're not super light themselves.

I say you running out of fuel is a maneuver kill for that Phantom 🤣
