I would have walked out if I were Fagen when Paul admitted he'd never heard IGY before. WTF Paul? Everyone knows this song.

I know nothing about Paul Shaffer, except that he mistakenly believes that Goffin and King worked in the Brill building, look it up, but I would have known more about Donald Fagen if Shaffer would shut up and let Donald speak without interruption.

Obviously it was a Steely Dan tune, not just an excellent first work..

One of these days Donald may release an album of these “B” side tracks. Hopefully, he’ll see the response that we “danheads” give in the way of numbers. These are all good tracks and we can pick out the solos that Walter played. Those put a smile on my face. If they can re-release vinyl albums of a higher quality, then why not release an album of gems(not mounted).

The first time I watched this I was irritated as hell. The second time seemed a bit friendlier. Paul is a bit chatty. But Fagan looks okay with it. Talking with headphones on tends to lean toward - loudest voice wins. To me, it was better the second time.

Fagen is not exactly the most outspoken artist in the world. But, being as he showed up to this interview, it would have been nice if he had been given a chance to speak. I gave up after 5 minutes.
