Dale, I have tried to update my 2 lowrance units software, when I put the SD card in and power up the unit, the update does not begin automatically. Any advice?

I just bought one from eBay with no transducer what one you use with yours

I do not believe this works on Ti2 units. The custom is not selectable under cmap genesis. I’ve mapped the full lake and unfortunately can’t shade. Good reason to switch to birds

How do u update if the unit won't recognize SD card at start up?

I get an error stating "the trolling motor did not verify that the update was transferred successfully. This may happen if the app was in the background or put of range during the transfer. Do you want to retry the transfer?" I've done this about 12 times. And the ghost still beeps 5 times, then pauses, then beeps 5 more times. Any ideas how to fix this?

When running on the bench, do you have the transducer plugged in? I have heard they will run hot after a while if not in water.

Thank you! I had trouble shading but the opacity in the shallow water was what I had wrong!!

Some of the LOWER POINTS I added may not be required in the Custom 1 Depth, but this should help get you to understand how to create your own shading. I had several questions lately on how to do this and sat down quickly to help those who asked.

Thanks for a nice video as it has helped me along the way on my latest project. I am in the process of implementing this add on to my Lowrance HDS7 Gen3. I still haven't purchased a tablet yet, but did try it out at home with a friends 10.1" screen IPAD and it seemed to work fine indoors. How does the IPAD or Android tablet work out on the boat as far as the screen viewing in the sunlight go? Have you had any issues with the IPAD overheating out in the sunshine while on the boat? I intend to mount mine under my T Top where it will have some shade available. I may even make some type of sun shade for the top and sides of the IPAD unit. The main purpose is to provide a larger screen for easier viewing. John

Your shading was red for 20-25 feet, not 15-20 feet.

Hi guys is anyone have update their elite 7ti2? Is the update effects the mapping? Its seem my elite 7 ti2 dosen't give me the deep contours etc.

So after using it for a while, what do you think? Has lowrance made any updates that have improved the clarity?

Wonderful unit . I bought the 12inch. You don’t even have to use a second unit . I’m running mirror emage from my I pad in the front of boat . I bought a waterproof case for iPad with a ram mount. One way to save some money . Instead of buying a second elite unit . I can control everything from I pad in the front of boat. This is a WiFi unit
