7:00 I also failed some cobra plants, summers can get hot, but now I live in a house that features a yard with some shade and a pond with artificial creek. I think about integrating some inside the creek, also winters dont get too harsh here
Good idea. I've seen videos of other people growing their cobras in ponds and artificial creeks like Brads Greenhouse. They seemed to do very well. I hope to have something similar one day.
How did you kill your cobra lily?
I don't remember exactly what the nail in the coffin was as it was a few years ago, but I know that It steadily declined. I know I wasn't using the correct water, and I think birds uprooted it a couple of times when it was small and kind of weak. I believe they liked to take some of the long fibered sphagnum for their nests and mistakenly pulled it out when they were trying to take some moss.

Yes, they sure do, but that will be a challenge where I live because of how hot it gets in the summer. I'm debating once summer comes whether I should leave it outside and take steps to keep the soil cool or move it inside with my nepenthes in my grow tent and then see if It grows fine in there.

Yes i paid 75$ for a plant the size of a quarter but it was 40% off so i basically saved 50$. Anyways that's my justification for getting one a few moths back congrats on the new plant this cross seem very promising and i can't waif to see how they mature.
Yes, I have the same justification for buying this plant, and I, too, "saved" $50. I have wanted a veitchii for a while and had my eye on this one, which, as you said, looks very promising. Most of the cheaper ones didn't seem to be very colorful, and this one wasn't absurdly expensive.

Sundews are carnivorous plants that use their sticky appendages to wrap around prey items like that insect, who just so happened to weasel his way to freedom.
Yes, this is a carnivorous plant called a sundew, and like a venus flytrap, it catches insects for nutrients. Instead, it used stickiness to trap insects. The plant was not fast or sticky enough/the bug was too strong, and the bug escaped.

I got my first Truncata I think on august, at first it only grew a leaf and now it already adjusted and grew a pitcher more that 2x the leaves size after the tiny leaf. Goodluck on you channel btw!
