Hello, is this a 17 or 22 HP version? And I have a question, how many teeth does the front sprocket have? I have the 17km version and the max speed is only 105km/h, I want to change the sprocket to a larger one and I don't know whether by one or two teeth. It is installed from 125 because the head was changed to the 250 version and the motorcycle was factory equipped with 125.
What year was this registered as the one I bought Brand New back in 1981 had seperate clocks, big pull back handle bars, chrome indicators, and a polished alloy engine. Your speedo and tacho look like they are off a SuperDream. Mine was a kind of metallic red with bronze on the side of the tank and side panels. Looks like Bitsa to me mate.
Bought this bike barely used in 1982, had it shipped to Incirlik, Turkey, where I was stationed for a year. I drove it throughout the area where bikes like this were not commonplace. The Turkish police had big bikes but almost no one else. Whenever I went somewhere, kids and adults would be all over it when I stopped and parked. One of the best bikes I ever owned.

I'm buying one cheap Friday same year and make . Owner says It needs a carb clean and new boots I've looked online for a carb and can't find one anywhere. Is there a universal fit that will work ? or should I just do a rebuild on the original carb
Where can I find a carb for a 81 xj650 or is there a universal carb that will fit? I bought it cheap owner says it needs a carb clean / new boots . But I want to replace the carb would it be better to just rebuild the original carb?
Non è una k1 del 72 come sembra dalla grafica del serbatoio e dai fregi sui fianchetti, ma è una k2, il modello successivo, come si vede chiaramente dalle bandiere di sostegno del faro (le frecce anteriori sono arretrate rispetto ai dadi di sostegno della lampada), dalla strumentazione (le coppe cromate sono più elaborate e tachimetro e contachilometri sono più grandi) e infine dal maniglione posteriore (il modello del 72 aveva due piccole maniglie che partivano dall'ammortizzatore e si fermavano alle frecce posteriori).
My first motorcycle. A 1974 a50 mark 2 green . Still got the front number plate up in the attic. Had it for a year and sold it to some plank. And he crashed it soon after.

I would love if my gauge cluster was as clean as that one. I have an 82, and the cluster is sun faded as hell!
